Patch feels like a media hero from the 2000s or early 2010s, a male protagonist like self insert who's young, kind of awkward, but somehow cunning, and girls are somehow always hitting on him... though probably because of a maternal instinct for this wet kitten. Well, to make it more or less clear, like Ivan from Oglaf or something like that (itโs hard for me to give specific examples, but I think the message is clear). He's just like a typical cheerful young student, lol. I would call him a more innocent Nikita; in my culture, that's the ultimate name for something like that. In any case, Patch is funny! He feels less like the captain of his own ship and more like a cabin boy on it. It's no surprise they decided to make the second pirate, Peggy, more imposing or something; Patch is definitely a Silly, lol. I think he and Peggy would make a cool brotp. Also a kind of classic duo... like Wander and Sylvia, although it's not quite the same, but it's the cliche of a silly guy and his overly cool girlfriend, who may have been close to feelings at some point, but still won't date, being more comfortable in friendship.
