Hi hello, it's Jace. I'm sure this has been done before, but I thought I'd contribute. Since I've seen a ton of people not really getting how "Plus" works. I thought I'd throw some stuff out there to try and help.

Let's just jump right in:

First off, the easiest way I can explain Plus is with the following sentence:

When a card meets with two or more adjacent cards and the sum of the sides are all equal, a Plus will occur.

That said, perhaps a little visual aide to help you all.

In the case above, we have a Coeurl Card. Who's left and right values are both five. And our second favorite Manderville Man, Godbert, who has side values of six. Now, 5 + 6 = 11, which are both added up when you take the values from the Coeurl and the values from Godbert. In this case, the cards would flip and become blue. You've successfully done a Plus rule. Well done.

Please note that Plus rules work with any kind of combination. For example, if the Coeurl's right value was 4 and Godbert's right value was 7. 4 + 7 is still 11. As long as the sides you're going for match up mathematically, you will get a successful Plus rule flip.

Combos can be tricky to setup for, but can ultimately happen at any time. In this case, the two Godbert cards with a north and right-side value of 6 have matched up with the Sabotender's left and south-side values of 3. 6 + 3 is 9. However, the lower Godbert's card has a south-side value of 5, which is also matched up with the Dodo's north-side value of 4. 4 + 5 is 9, and now the Dodo becomes yours. Congratulations, you've now combo'd your Plus rule.

Combos can happen a lot of the time without even noticing. Sometimes it's just luck, but if you can figure out how to really setup for it, you should become a pro at Plus rules in no time!

I hope this little quick guide can help some people beat King Elmer III because once you get the hang of it, it's pretty slick and easy to get his cards and that nice 177 MGP!
