@estarion asked: [ COMPANY ] for one muse to sit with the other so they don’t have to be alone while they’re upset .
She's not sure what to do, at first. She was used to the sharp banter between them, the dark humour, but not... this. She was not used to seeing Astarion genuinely trouble and upset. For several moments, Iseris just stood at a distance and watched the vampire hold his face in his hands, sat alone. Words escaped her. How on earth could she comfort him? But also, more importantly, why did she even care to? She could not quite puzzle that one out as she approached slowly and sat herself down next to Astarion, hands clasped upon her lap as they sat in a rather awkward silence.
Well, that silence remained awkward for a few moments but Iseris soon eased into it after Astarion did not immediately try to dismiss her. In fact, she was rather sure he was ignoring her. That was fine. At least he could know that she was there if he did want to talk or something. If he ever did look up, he would find a waiting smile.
