oh for SURE FOR SURE!! touching is 100% his love language (also quality time and words of affirmation. all 5 of them to varying degrees, really, but he likes to be touched 😌)

it’s not even like overtly sexual (most of the time.) he has a certain presence he has to maintain when it comes to his job and his men, and he’s not exactly gonna shove his tongue down your throat in front of the entire colombian police force, yknow? he shows it in other ways, more subtle but infinitely more tender

he’s also too much of a stubborn chicken-shit to say “hey, can you play with my hair?” but when his hands sort of trail across your arms and reach to guide them up to his neck, you know well enough not to tease as you get the hint. you’ll laugh, maybe, because it’s endearing and a little boyish, but you’ll oblige and just smile when he leans back into your hands. big puppy-that-just-wants-to-be-pet-and-told-they’re-good vibes i said what i said

watching a movie on the couch? he’s putting your legs in your lap so he can trace his fingers across your calves. eating dinner? he’s running his hand along the inside of your knee, maybe resting one on your thigh

he’s sort of needy but not in like, an annoying desperate way. it’s just how he shows that he cares. he doesn’t touch you because he’s possessive or because he’s putting on a show (he’s a grown-ass man and is done wasting time with that.) he’s not trying to prove something to you or to anyone who might be watching. he knows you’re his, and that he’s yours. he touches you because it grounds him and because he loves you

so i hc that santi is a night owl? he showers at night and is more likely to be up at night reading or working on some lil project. not that he doesn’t dislike mornings, he can get up just fine - he just functions better at night. 

so before bed after he’s showered and made sure the place is all locked up, he’ll slide into bed with you. 

his pjs are - black boxers and that chain he always wears ok :) 

if yall get down and dirty he’s gonna do that right awayyy cuz he can’t resist you once his body is next to yours. but if it’s a more chill night, he’ll wrap an arm around you to start off with. 

at some point when sleep takes you both you’ll drift apart naturally, but he often starts with a causal arm or just his hand on you. talking real soft. about everything, nothing. what happened today. how beautiful you are. 

little things like pulling the covers up, kissing your forehead. he makes sure you’re all good and cozy before he falls asleep. 

my favorite thing to think about tbh is him like rubbing my back?? just really gently running his fingers along, easing tension.

i would honestly recommend at least his episodes? i can’t speak for the whole show, but as crime shows go, at least in his episodes, it was a pretty good one.

marcus + grocery shopping hcs

as i mentioned in a previous headcanon, he is a man of order and planning. i truly believe that.

so he goes into grocery shopping like he does anything else: with a plan.

he doesn’t hate grocery shopping per say, but he also doesn’t love it and he wants to limit it as much as possible

therefore, he’s on a mission when he goes.

i’d say he’s more the type to shop as needed, a couple of small trips a week to restock instead of one giant shop. 

the big trips are too just long and tedious. being under those damn fluorescents for that long sucks the life out of him

so little trips after work are IT

he doesn’t get mad at you for going off list and impulse buying, but you get “the look” 

it never actually scares you. you just laugh.

“I need a better mad look” he says

“I don’t think you have it in you, babe.” you say as you add another unplanned item to the cart.

he does it too sometimes, so he can’t even pretend

also if you don’t think he is going to farmer markets on weekends you are lying to yourself!!

he loves them! loves getting fresh stuff from people in his neighborhood.

he gets to know the vendors that go consistently

they’re on a first name basis

the little old ladies that come with their goods just LOVE him and always give him deals
