"How Trump Hijacked America's 250th Birthday" (possibly committing "wire fraud" along the way)
REP. JARED HUFFMAN (July 2, 2026): "America's 250th birthday is being run by a shadow company.... Freedom 250 has raised millions of dollars. It's selling access to the president. And it won't tell you who's paying or where the money goes. This is how Trump hijacked America's birthday." [color emphasis added]
It is worth the time to watch this video. The corruption involved in Trump's Freedom 250 organization is outrageous.

When Trump couldn't "hijack" the bipartisan America 250 Commission, Trump formed Freedom 250, an LLC "shell company" that was placed inside the National Park Foundation charity; consequently, donors' names can remain hidden.
Trump also diverted funds to Freedom 250 that were allocated for America 250.
"Congress had set aside $150 million to celebrate our 250th. The America 250 Commission was promised $100 million of that funding, but in November of 2025, the White House told the America 250 chairwoman she would only get 50 million. And in the months that followed, they whittled it down to just 25 million. The rest of the money was taken by Freedom 250."
Then: "Freedom 250 went after the real Commission's corporate sponsors. Not just donations, but a quid pro quo of access to Trump in exchange for cash. Lockheed Martin, Exxon Mobile, Chevron, Mastercard, United Airlines, United Health."
"Fundraisers misled donors who intended to support the America 250 Commission by giving them Freedom 250's banking information. And through this bait and switch, contributions meant for the nonpartisan Birthday Foundation were routed to Trump's Shadow Corporation instead. This is potential wire fraud."
Meanwhile, National Park employees were ordered to remove "factual signs about slavery, climate change, and the forced removal of Native Americans" and replace them with signs that conveyed a whitewashed, “distorted version of history.”

Trump was "trading" & promoting corporate sponsors' stocks.
Freedom 250 fundraisers were soliciting money from “foreign governments” & asking, “how they wanted to shape America’s birthday.”
Personal data was being "harvested" from Americans who signed up for any Freedom 250 event.
"An internal playbook called for scripture readings and worship nights on the National Mall."
"They pedaled sponsorship packages and photo ops with Trump at 10 million bucks a pop."
The UFC ring on the White House's lawn was a part of this, even though it was for Trump's "80th birthday, with seats that ran a million a half dollars."
Contracts were given to "Trump's closest allies, including Event Strategies, Inc., one of the masterminds [behind] the rallies surrounding the January 6th insurrection."
The House Republicans did not support the investigation of Freedom 250. Instead, "they blocked [the Democrats'] requests, shielded the individuals and entities involved, and refused to hold a single hearing on any of this."
Finally, Rep. Huffman claims: "This is bigger than one anniversary. The political and legal machinations that brought us to this point are a potential blueprint for others who seek to betray the public trust, take something the public loves, run dark money through it, sell access, and make sure the details are hidden from public scrutiny."

Jon Stewart's response to the "Both Sides" nonsense from his guest Jenin Younes was great. I would have just started yelling at that point honestly. He actually managed to keep it as an earnest disagreement sans table flipping. His response starts at (12:43) in the interview.
Stewart: "I mean the only thing about that is, only one side really though has the guns, and the authority. Cause it's, you know, when I look at, when I look at that video, I don't see both sides in a dogmatic stance. I see a woman, maybe naive, sitting in a car thinking she has to do something and she's going to block something and a wildly extreme overreaction to that small act of defiance. And then and then, like, I just, when they say "She was radicalized" I just think, well, there are masked gunmen in her neighborhood who she's read about taking 17 year old kids and pulling them off the streets. Whereas this was more like, 'Okay, I'm done with all the environment art, now I have the monsters.' If I ever felt like, 'Ah, man, there's too many monsters in this,' I could be like, 'but all the environment art is done, I can just slap that right in there and it's ready to go.' It kind of, like, built on itself, you know what I mean? The further you went, the more pieces you had and the more easier [sic] it was gonna get when you get to the final stage and you're doing the level design.
"The game is almost its own thing, you know, its own entity, outside of me, as opposed to, like, something I designed, even though I did design it. I am okay totally not violently convulsing over the casual self-dehumanization. Admitting that he felt useful when he had a purpose he would have been okay. Associating it with being "adored", being loved. That he was alright being a "killing machine" for the flawed ideals driven into his head. When Dream first starts talking to Ranboo, Ranboo says that Dream made it to his panic room. Dream isn’t even in the game, much less anywhere near the panic room. Dream is not there.
At the end of their discussion, Ranboo questions himself and his memory book. Dream says that he isn’t real and Ranboo realizes that Dream was never there.
This means one of three things:
c!Dream* has the ability to whisper in people’s minds even when he isn’t in the world. This is very likely considering Dream’s unknown species and life count. If Dream is a Dreamon or possessed by a Dreamon, he theoretically could influence other people from very far away.
Dream was part of c!Ranboo’s internal monologue and Ranboo just convinced himself that he blew up the community house. Very possible because Ranboo knows that he helped Tommy burn George’s house. It wouldn’t be to far fetched for Ranboo to help Tommy again.

When I was 20 I had just a very particular understanding of so many things and I was so sure that I was right. We kind of grew up in a place where you were not exposed to anything that challenged your worldview and it was very tight and it was very tidy.
