Have y'all always known you were fictives or could that realisation come later?

My identity as a part has always been a mystery to me it's one of the reasons I'm known to lash out so much...

Feel free to drop any experiences or such in the comments. I'd be grateful.

(Feel free to ignore this it's just something for us to keep note of something more positive for once.)

Inside we have a cat called Smudge, they're just a kitty, associated with one of our littles, and were a representation of things she had been through, we realised this kitty was retriggering and keeping her almost trapped in these pseudo memories. But a few of us have been working with her to unpack that, just a little, not forcing her to work out what if any 'actual' (as in experienced by the body) memories were attached.

The way we got through to her was Smudge, framing her healing work around this kitty, who she looks after inside, and puts all her love into, its a very spoiled cat now.

As shes slowly gotten better (subjectively of course, there's still a lot there unfortunately) the kitty went from being all ashen, smudged, starving and crying all the time to a happy and contented big fat ginger cat. She slowly changed how she perceived the cat inside, and made sure we all did too, and I just think that's so sweet, maybe she couldn't help for herself but for her cat? She did her best and I'm so proud to see it.

This came up on I've of our coloring apps, and it struck us how much it looked like Smudge in the cabin where some of us currently reside inside, and maybe we're a little too focused on this but I don't care.
