i wish we got two more mello novels on the other stories L told him… u.u fuck… and yk what i want a near novel too near pov of literally anything would be entertaining to me

as it turns out being continuously exposed to abuse will make you cynical about your ability to escape or to end exploitative systems and you will very much feel trapped in them the same way you felt trapped with your father. or something.

something that really makes my brain gears fucking TURN is thinking about LABB. mello. he’s the narrator which we all know, and love but. L told MELLO the story of B. and i wonder; why mello? why not near? who, arguably, was neck and neck with being as smart and as talented as mello just in different aspects of his deduction and investigation skills. was it possibly because L thought mello had the potential to wind up like Beyond Birthday? maybe? and did L tell him as a cautionary tale? or was it simply a story of a terrible person L knew. not sure if it’s elaborated upon in hc or other wise but this thought always makes me think think think
