Llevan en el pelo una pluma de cuervo y se anuncian con un grito para despejar la calle por donde avanzan. Penetran en las casas por una puerta excusada y se llevan las inmundicias. Transportan los cuerpos de los que mueren sin parientes, cargan con las carroñas en putrefacción y a veces se las comen.
