Okay, I was reading this prompt where Cas, since he isnât supposed to age, would stay young forever while Dean would age like the finest wine. I donât know where I read it but Dean would say something like âyou look like a gold diggerâ to Cas and Cas wouldnât understand at all.
Dean, Cas and Jack would totally vibe like Jay, Gloria and Manny from Modern Family. With Cas being the incredibly hot young foreign bilingual husband, Dean being the Winchester patriarch (being the oldest Winchester alive and getting grey hair and more laugh lines) and Jack being their weird yet kind son.
Dean wants to fix Samâs pain so bad, but doesnât quite know how to help his brother now. Their relationship at first kind of reminds me of Maryâs uncertainty with how to deal with the boys when she came back (obviously a much different context and relationship but idk)
âDaddy, daddy!â The three year old bounces on his parents bed. âWake up.â
Dean groans, he definitely didnât get enough sleep last night. First Bobby didnât want to go to sleep then his infant daughter cried until Dean wasnât sure anymore if she got the bottle or if he drank it.Â
â5 more minutes.â He begs even though he knows that when his son is this active he wonât win.
âDaddyâŠ!â Bobby whines and tries to shake his daddy awake. âGet up.â He whines again and Dean surrenders.Â
âOkay, Daddy is awake.â He declares even though he is definitely not awake and sits up.
âOkay, okay.â He says more to himself than to his son and tries to open his eyes. âI am up.â
Bobby jumps cheerfully from his bed and takes his hand. âCome!â He tries to pull his Daddy out of his bed, but Dean is like a dead weight and Bobby canât do more than run on the spot. âDaddy.â He whines again.Â
âNo, yes.â Dean says and stands up. âWait, what?â Bobby looks at him funny. Dean looks at him tiredly. They just stand there, looking at each other. No one says anything.
Why are we standing again? Why arenât we sleeping? What times is it anyway? What did I to deserve this? Dean questions himself and before he can question his entire life choices his son remembers that he is on a mission.Â
âDaddy, come on.â He tugs at his hand again.
Right, my son wants attention, Dean remembers and follows him more like a sleepwalking zombie than a responsible parent, but the thought counts, right?
âWhatâs going on?â He mumbles and isnât sure if he said it out loud or if itâs all in his head.
âPapa is being silly.â His son exclaims and dashes down the stairs like a rocket.Â
âWhat?â Dean questions because Castiel is on a work trip and isnât supposed to be back until the next week. Irritated he climbs down the stairs.Â
âWhat do you mean papa is-â He stops and rubs his eyes, but sure enough thatâs his husband just in his suit pans and an apron on, dancing with a spatula in his hand to some pop song from the radio.Â
What? Is this another dream? He questions himself again and scratches his head.Â
âPapa!â His son exclaims cheerfully and holds his arms up.Â
âRocket!â Castiel responses with happiness and lifts him up. âI missed you.â He peppers his son with kisses, which makes him giggle. Their daughter, Claire, giggles along even though she doesnât know why theyâre giggling and- wait is she sitting in her chair on the counter? Giggling? What happened to just crying and stealing Daddyâs sleep?
At this point, Dean decides, he wonât question anything anymore until he has his second coffee in his hand. There is just no point in trying to understand things that just sound insane.
âCas?â Dean tries to catch his husbands attention. âWhatâs going on? What are you doing here?â He asks and hugs him.
âWe missed you, too.â Dean admits and breaths in Casâ scent. âSo much.âÂ
Dean breaks their embrace as Bobby starts to complain. âBut that doesnât explain why you are here.â
Castiel takes a deep breath. âI quit.â
âWhat?â Dean asks, suddenly very awake. âBut you love your job. It is your everything.â
Castiel sits Bobby down and takes Deanâs hand in his. âYouâre my everything. I love you more than some job and when you said that Claire said her first words and I wasnât here? I just⊠I donât want to miss anything anymore.â
Dean canât believe his ears. Sure, they talked about it, but Castiel always said that he isnât ready and what about-
Bobby tugs on his pants and Dean looks down. âDaddy, are you mad?â Bobbyâs eyes shine dangerously and Dean knows what will happen next if he doesnât do something fast.
âNo,â He reassures his son and shakes his head. âI⊠I just,â He looks his husband in the eyes and thinks of all the christmases, birthdays and the firsts, Cas has missed and that this is over. He will never miss anything ever again and Dean just canât believe it.Â
âI am just so happy.â He says and kisses his husband. âI am so fucking happy.â He whispers against his husbandâs lips.Â
âBad word.â Bobby declares and his fathers break their kiss. âYeah,â Dean laughs with tears in his eyes. âThat was a bad word.âÂ
Castiel tries to say something, but his husband interrupts him. âDo you smell that?â
âOh my God!â Castiel rushes to the oven and grabes the pan. âI forgot the pancakes!â He opens the window and Dean cuddles a crying Claire.Â
âShhh, everything is okay,â He reassures her and Castiel steps besides them. "Papa is home.âÂ

A Quiet Night (A.K.A Just Some Supernatural Christmas Fluff
Rating: G
Pairing: None (Destiel if you squint very, very hard.)
Summary: Christmas Eve in the bunker.
A/N: For the lovely @remefla This is just pure SPN Christmas Fluff. Our boys need to be happy. Jack is adorable in his innocence. Please enjoy:
The feeling of âpeaceâ was a rarity in the bunker. Not completely unknown, but by no means the norm. Tonight was one of those rare nights. Perhaps it was fitting that this feeling came on Christmas Eve, though some part of Sam was waiting for the peace and quiet to come crashing down. But, even as he had gone to bed, there was nothing but a strange sense of everything being all right.
It was the sound of something creaking that awoke him. Though being a light sleeper came with the hunter territory, strange sounds coming from inside the bunker always put him on edge. He got out of bed, taking care to grab his gun before quietly exiting his room. He looked down the halls. No sign of Cass or Dean, though Sam figured it was more or less due to the overindulgence of spiked eggnog Dean had consumed a few hours previously. Seeing a soft glow coming from the War Room, Sam moved closer, hoping that this wouldnât end in some sort of Christmas nightmare. However, his fear evaporated when he saw Jack sitting at the table, a blanket wrapped around him as he sat at the base of the Christmas tree, eyes watching the tiny ornaments shimmer in the light. He turned his head at the sound of Samâs footsteps, the excitement in his face fading slightly at the sight of him.
âOh,â he said. âSorry, I wasnât sureâŠâ
âItâs okay,â Sam nodded. âCouldnât sleep?â
Jack shook his head as Sam walked over, sitting beside him on the floor. He stared up at the giant tree, decorated from top to bottom. He didnât want to know how much money Dean had spent on ornaments. Making up for lost time, he supposed.
âExcited?â Sam asked. Jack nodded, taking out a small piece of paper. Sam couldnât help but smile.
âYour Christmas list?â
âYes,â Jack nodded. âIâm hoping to ask them all, but Iâm not sure heâll have enough time.â
Sam blinked, staring at Jack. âWhat?â
âSanta Claus has to travel around the whole world in a single night, right?â Jack looked at Sam. âSo he wonât have a lot of time to spare.â
He handed his list to Sam. âThe most important ones are at the top.â
Sam regarded the list, taking in every line with a strange mixture of confusion and⊠well, wonder wouldnât be the right word, but it brought a smile to his lips. Most kids wait up for Santa to see him come down the chimney or hope to catch sight of his reindeer⊠this list⊠wasnât exactly that.
âHow do you enter a home without any detection or worrying about protective sigils?â
âWhat spells are there to create a bag that holds an infinite supply of items? Is it similar to that blue box in the show âDoctor Who?â
Sam couldnât help but laugh a little at that one, glad that Jackâs taste in television leaned more towards his own as opposed to Deanâs.
âHow can you survey every human in the world to know the quality of their actions. I thought only God could do that. Are you in contact with God? How do we find him and his sister?â
Sam reviewed the list of questions until he came to the end, his eyes hovering over the last question.
âCan I ask for my familyâs safety for Christmas? And a new TV for Dean since he had to smash that last one? And I guess my own car since I donât know how often Iâll get to drive Baby again? Thank you.â
Sam folded the list carefully before handing it back to Jack.
âIâm hoping heâll let me ask them all, but Iâve put little stars next to the most important ones.â
Sam had noticed the two little stars next to the final question. He put his arms around the Nephilim and hugged him tightly. He wished Jack didnât have to ask those questions. Hell, he wished Jack never had to deal with this. He wished none of them had to⊠he wished he could have finished law school⊠that Castiel could be happyâŠ. That Dean could have everything he ever wanted⊠still, this was their life⊠and at the very least, he was glad for the people he had in it.
âDo you want to wait for him with me?â Jack asked. Sam smiled, nodding as he looked back up at the tree. Occasionally, Jack would shift around to get more comfortable before resting his head on his arms.
âIâm gonna close my eyes for a bit. Can you wake me up when he arrives?â
âSure thing,â Sam said, watching as Jack drifted off to sleep, seemingly free of nightmares, at least for tonight. Sam continued to watch the tree until his eyes grew heavy. Heâd just tell JackâŠ
âŠâŠ.
âSam! Sam!â A hand shook him awake. âWake up!â
Samâs eyes opened, flashes of bright colors dancing in front of him. He scrambled to get up as he looked at a smiling Jack. Rubbing his eyes, he looked at the base of the tree which seemed to be spilling with brightly colored packages.
âWoah, Sammy, what the hell?â
Turning around, he saw Cass and Dean standing in the library with amazed, if not slightly confused expressions on their faces. He noted the tray of pancakes in Castielâs hands. How long had they been asleep if Dean had had the time to set out all these gifts without making them up and make breakfast!? Sipping from a cup of coffee, Dean stepped down towards the tree.
âI knew I went overboard with the ornaments, but how the hell did you charge all this?â
Sam blinked. âWhat?â
âI know I said I wanted to make up for holidays we missed, but this is-â
Sam shook his head, stopping his brother with a look that said: âNot me, dude⊠did you?â
Dean pulled back. âWhat? No, IâŠâ He looked up at Castiel, who was still holding the tray.
âThis was not my doing.â
âSam, look!â
Jack picked up a piece of paper, carefully laying next to a set of keys and a very large box that Sam could only guess contained a TV. Castiel set the tray down and walked over to look at the paper.
âItâs a protection spell,â he said softly. Jackâs eyes went wide as Samâs jaw almost hit the floor.
âI thought you were going to wake me up when Santa Claus came.â
Tonight on Supernatural, #Warm Bodies the Sequel, Charlie proves over and over again that sheâs #Not!OurCharlie, Jackâs the voice of the audience. reason when it comes to Dean, and heâs very, very ill.Â
1. The way the music is swelling in this episode I half expect people to burst into song. Did anyone else have #Spiderman 3 flashbacks? Heâs super dead.Â
2. I present to you #Jack Fucking Winchester, the voice of the audience.
Jack: âDean what happened with Michael. No one blames you.â
Dean: âCool, well I blame meâÂ
...
Dean: âHey, you didn't do anything wrong.â
Jack: âand neither did you! Doesnât make it any easier does it?âÂ
Dean: âItâs about how you handle yourself when you make mistakes, and how you learn from them.â
Jack: âand how to not beat yourself up over them.â
3. Love how Dean is just deferring to Sam lately - the continuity of Dean being supportive of Samâs decisions and work since he went after the BMOL is really cool. Sam decides who hunts and who doesnât. Checks in with everyone and keeps them safe.Â
4. Seeing #Not!OurCharlie interact with Sam feels just as painful as it must be for Sam. He knows sheâs #Not!OurCharlie, but he wants her to be, if not for himself then for Deanâs sake, or for her own sake, or for the sake of the human race. ¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ pick one or all of them.Â
Charlie: âHe's got other friends right?â
Sam: âFunny, he used to have a pretty good wingmanâ
Charlie: âSo call that guy to check on himâ
Sam: âthat guy was youâÂ
Charlie: âno it wasnât.â
Sam & the Audience: T_TÂ
Charlie:Â âWell again, she ain't me. Itâs my life Sam, not hers and not yoursâ
Sam & the Audience: T_T
5. Someone write me a #Bakery!AU with Charlieâs love Cara, who smelt like peaches. T_T I want to see her happy people! Whatever it takes. #Charlie Fucking Bradbury Who wasnât looking for love, but found it anyways. Found it and kept it T_T
6. Have to say, unlike a lot of shows with supernatural elements, there generally arenât a lot of really bad people on Supernatural - just monsters. Not saying there arenât a few, just that it isnât the point of the show like it is in #The Walking Dead, where the survivors are infinitely more dangerous and monstrous than the Zombie hoard. But Charlie talking about how people are terrible and how society is always just a day away from burning people? Sheâs not wrong.Â
7. Love #Parent!Deanâs absolute confidence in âI promise when we get home Iâll give you #The Talkâ followed eventually Jackâs âI need to know everything about Sex, Goâ You know for sure Dean gave The Talk to Sam, cause it sure as shit wasnât in #John Winchesterâs A+ Parenting guidebook. Â
8. #Pie is important.
9. #OLD MAN. XD The look looks on Deanâs face journey Deanâs face takes - Priceless. Well done Jensen! #Acting Not only when Jack says it but when the girl clearly agrees. Donât worry Dean. <3 youâre not old. Youâre still young and charming and literally the most beautiful man Iâve ever seen. even though Misha takes up all the space in my heart I mean in the room I mean...
10. Charlie may not be #Our!Charlie, but the girl still appreciates a good WIFI signal!
11. FIRST FUCKING #CRISTO USAGE IN LIKE A DECADE
12. Can we talk about how Dean talks about love? âThatâs not how it works kidâ The face of pain and longing. âActually Love can get crazier than thatâ T_T Donât you know it, Dean. Like how you have fought and died been to heaven, hell and purgatory over an Angel you canât bring yourself to say âI love youâ to? #Destiel #Greatest Love Story Ever ToldÂ
13. I canât say I saw The #Warm Bodies twist coming, or that crazy girl was a necromancer, or that she purposefully kills men so she can control them...but it certainly makes my Walking Dead comment strangely fitting! She clearly doesnât understand love at all. Forcing people to stay with her, fleeing at the first sign of trouble, writing creepy love death letters to people. What a psycho.Â
14. âDonât leave.â These words break my heart. Imperfect metaphor is imperfect Sam, but god damn if it didnât work.Â
15. Ok, let's talk about Jackâs secret illness - Glad itâs not a secret anymore. âMaybe Iâm allergic to doing nothingâ Snark Or maybe Jack, youâre dying. People donât cough up blood on TV unless somethingâs really really wrong. T_T Also, youâre telling me thereâs no one else in the bunker right now? What happened to the dozens of people using it as a home base??
Wow, these reviews are getting long! Donât think I missed the âovernight run to Mary and Bobbyâs placeâ reference either!Â
Drowley AU based on my own post - Deanâs and Crowleyâs daughter got into trouble at school. Enjoy!
âShe gets that from you, you know.â
Dean Winchester, somewhat irritated, turned to his husband. âIâd like to know why. The last time I checked, we both raised her ââ
âSheâs your biological daughterâ Crowley said smoothly, âSo she gets it from you.â
âI never blamed any of Gavinâs faults on youâ Dean argued.
And God knew their eldest had not exactly sailed the waters of puberty smoothly.
âThat may be, but he also never got us invited to someone elseâs home to âclear the airââ Crowley spat.
Dean shook his head. âI know you donât like it, but if you only ever ate with people you like, youâd only ever eat at home.â
âI fail to see how that would be a problem.â
He sighed. âCrowley...â
âI simply see no merit in us âclearingâ anything up. This was clearly a fight between Emma and that bully Walt, so ââ
âStop itâ Dean interrupted him.
âStop what?â he asked innocently.
âYouâre proud of her for pummelling him to the ground, I can tell.â
Crowley raised an eyebrow. âTell me you arenât.â
âIâm not.â
âNot even a little bit? I can tell when youâre fibbing, you know.â
âI can tell when youâre fibbingâ Dean mocked him, then sighed again before conceding, âOf course youâre right. Emma stood up for what she believed in, but that still doesnât mean that she had a right to hit him. We have to deal with this.â
âI could show her how to handle her enemies without ââ
âOh noâ Dean raised his hands to stop him, âYouâre not showing her your techniques. Not yet, at least.â
âWhy?â
âBecause I want her to be able to handle them, not completely destroy her enemies and take their livelihoods.â
Crowley smirked.
âSometimes I really wonder why I married you.â
His smile fell.
âI didnât mean that, and you know it.â
And he hadnât. Sam had asked him countless times if he really wanted to go through with it before the wedding (he and Crowley werenât exactly the best of friends even now) and Dean had stood by his man each time. He wasnât about to stop doing that.
Crowley still looked a little sad though, so he stepped up to him. âHey, Iâm sorry, alright?â he began, reaching and trailing his tie with his right hand. âMake it up to you tonight?â
Crowley smiled. âI am counting on that, darling.â
Say one thing about him: As nasty as he could be to others, he was always easy to placate when it came to his loved ones.
âHe was insulting Dottie Keenan, and she was this close to crying!â their fourteen-year-old exclaimed. âAnd thereâs nothing worse than openly crying in school!â She hesitated. âExcept maybe dying.â
âI am gladâ Crowley drawled, âThat you have your priorities in orderâ.
âJust as you taught me, Father.â
âI donât think anyoneâs priorities are in the right place at this very momentâ Dean said firmly, knowing well that his husbandâs greatest weakness was the tendency to go soft when either he or the kids tried their puppy dog eyes on him, and Emma was definitely using them now.
Little cheater.
âEmma, you canât just walk around and punch bullies in the face. Thatâs just not how you do it.â
Crowley threw him a glance and Dean glared back; the last thing he needed was to him indeed starting to explain to Emma how to best ruin Waltâs life and look innocent.
Thankfully, he stayed silent.
âActually I think...â Dean trailed off. He knew he should probably punish Emma, but how could he do that when she had been sticking up for another girl? There were so many bad people in the world, someone had to take them on.
He sighed. âDonât do it again. And if anyone asks â especially Uncle Sam â you were dealt with most severely, young lady, do you hear?â
She grinned and skipped off to call Gavin, who was doing his first semester at Stanford. Theyâd probably end up laughing together over their dumb parents.
Dean wouldnât have had them any other way.
âLook at this tacky window frames.â
âCrowley, not everyone has the money for designer onesâ Dean reminded him.
Money had indeed been an issue between them in the beginning, and had more than once almost separated them. Dean had taken a while to realize that Crowley throwing expensive gifts at him was not meant to be condescending, but indeed him spoiling those he cared about at every opportunity.
âI am not talking about them being cheap, I am talking about them being tasteless.â
âAny chance you wonât be acting like this in front of Waltâs parents?â
âIf they start badmouthing our daughter, no.â
Deanâs heart beat faster even as he knew that he probably shouldnât encourage that line of thinking, but he would always be touched at Crowleyâs devotion to his family. He took his hand and squeezed it. âLetâs do this.â
To say this was awkward would have been an understatement.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving lacked all understanding that their sonâs behaviour might have had something to do with Emmaâs attack.
âOur daughterâ Dean tried again, âHas told us that Walt was... annoying a young lady sheâs friends with, and she wouldnât lie to us ââ
âAre you sure there?â Mrs. Irving interrupted him. âWhy wouldnât she lie, since she was the offending party?â
He resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
âI do hope you have taken proper measures to ensure something like this wonât happen againâ the woman dared to announced, âWeâve been thinking about making a complaint because the school didnât act either.â
That was because everyone at school knew Wart Irving to be an unlikeable bully, but Dean had to word his answer differently.
âThe school investigated the incident, and it is procedure in such cases that when it is found ââ
âPardon, but why would you know anything about the procedures involved in such matters?â Mr. Irving asked and studied him with a contemptuous expression on his face.
Really? Not only did they have to raise their son like this, but now they had to be elitists too? Dean was working his usual t-shirt and jeans get-up he put on once he came home for the evening, since heâd decided he might as well get this over with in the clothes he felt most comfortable in.
Crowley, of course, always wore a suit. Dean had only got him to wear something casual on a few memorable occasions.
âIâm a teacher myselfâ he said.
He was used to people reacting with surprise; apparently no one expected someone looking like him to want to educate kids.
By now, heâd stopped feeling resentful about it.
His husband, he remembered a little too late, had not. Crowley not only seemed to think that Dean was more than entitled to be treated with respect by each and every member of the human race, but also to consider any criticism of his husband as a criticism of himself.
âHow could they possibly thinkâ heâd fumed one day after dressing down a rather impertinent waiter, âThat I would take anything but the best?â
But then, heâd always been a romantic at heart, even though he pretended not to be. Dean was rather sure his wedding ring hadnât left his finger since he put it there.
And so, the inevitable happened.
âI do find it fascinating that you cannot manage to explain to your son that harassing others is a bad thing, but you do find the time to judge my husband for not being dressed the way you think teachers should be.â
âItâs not about his profession, itâs about self respect.â
And that, thankfully, was when Mrs. Irving did the right thing for the first time that evening and hastily said, âDinner was ready.â
Dean guessed she saw murder in Crowleyâs eyes and takes his hand as they are being led to the table. He throws him a glance that could be considered apologetic â if Dean didnât know him that well. It will have to be enough.
Dinner was cooked well enough, he supposed, although it had nothing against his burgers (if he said so himself). Mr. and Mrs. Irving followed the age-old rule that nothing bad should be discussed at table, and he was glad to make some stilted small talk about the school he himself worked at, Gavinâs progress, and Crowleyâs business.
As to Crowley himself, the stoic silence he maintained was probably for the best. He could take just about any indignity when it was directed towards himself â otherwise heâd hardly have managed to build up his own firm from ground up â but when it came to his family...
Afterwards, they were led back to the living room while both Irvings disappeared to get them drinks.
For about a minute, they sat next to each other on the couch, completely silent; then Dean couldnât help it anymore.
He began to chuckle.
Crowley grinned. âI will say this, they are more perceptive than some of my erstwhile business partners.â
âYou were pretty obvious. Did you have to look at him like you wanted to stab him?â
âI did.â
âCrowley ââ
âI will try not to glare at them. Happy?â
It was an almost heroic act, so Dean acquiesced.
When they finally came back with glasses of red wine for each of them â Dean sighed internally because if there was one other thing that could raise Crowleyâs hackles, it was serving him bad wine â he decided to try and broach the subject again.
âLook, I am sorry Emma punched Waltâ he began carefully. âAnd we have explained to her that she should refrain from such techniques in the future when she wants to help someone. But I still feel that Waltâs behaviour needs to be addressed as well.â
âI donât ââ Mr. Irving began, but stopped suddenly. Dean had no idea why until Crowley took his hand and he glanced at his husband to see him smile at the others â in that threatening, I-am-going-to-kill-you-for-this-later way he had during company meetings.
Quite frankly, he was glad they werenât sitting at the table anymore so no knives where in reach.
Mr. Irving swallowed and Dean told himself that he had no right to find Crowleyâs behaviour sexy in front of the parents of the child their daughter had hit.
âI know you donât think so, Mr. Irving, but it might be a good idea to think about it again before we sue you.â
âSue us? Why?â
âFor starters, for the emotional damage done to our daughter ââ
âShe punched our son!â
âOh yesâ Crowley said, leaning forward, still that unsettling smile on his lips. âShe did. But guess what. That doesnât mean a thing when I am after someone. And I should warn you that my brother-in-law is one of the best lawyers in the State. Not only would I win, but Iâd take most of your savings and this house, while weâre at it.â
He stood up, pulling Dean up as well. âI think that cleared everything up, then. Enjoy your evening.â
âThat was a bit harshâ He said once they were on the street.
Crowley sighed. âDean ââ
âThey were not that impolite ââ
âThatâs not it. Thatâs not it at all.â
âUI donât understand.â
âDid you notice something about the house?â
âCan you be more specific ââ Dean was about to complain when he went through the rooms he had seen in his mind and realized. âWhere are the family pictures? They have a kid.â
âExactly.â
âBut that doesnât have to mean ââ
âDean, I have pictures from their ultrasounds to Gavinâs high school graduation on my office desk. I know what neglect can do to a young mind.â
Dean winced in sympathy as he remembered what Crowley had told him about his own childhood. âbut we still donât know ââ
âI recognize a house without love. Iâve been living in the opposite for too long now.â
âYou sapâ he muttered.
âYour sap. And we better keep an eye on the situation, in case the kid needs help.â
âFineâ Dean mumbled, dragging him into a kiss, âBut if we eventually have to get him out of there, youâre the one explaining to Emma why we did it.â
