So there is a new show on german TV called "The masked singer", its some celebrity in a full body costume complete with mask singing a song and people have to guess who it is. I haven´t really seen it because I have no cable TV and can´t get the TV station its on, but it sounds pretty dumb actually. The costumes however are pretty cool, some of them are as close as you can get to fursuits on  mainstream TV. Some of the costumes are featured on posters advertising the show. The pantress costume is actually pretty hot.

Anakin thinks he needs to serenade his partner? Padme hires him an orchestra.

Padme wants to meet daringly under the cover of night with her new secret lover because that's the only right way to do it? Anakin is staging a kidnapping for her, zero questions.

Anakin is swooning over how his love interest was kissing him! but it was actually lips-to-leg attempts to suck out the venom of a bad bite (something you're not even actually supposed to do, but hey, the Force slowed his heart down enough that maybe it helped! and he survived anyway, it's fine)? Padme is over the moon for him, that's so romantic!

Their brain cells are so, so allergic to each other. Put them in a room and all common sense flees in the face of "okay, but if I challenge her to a sword fight--" "Padme you can't challenge a Sith to a sword fight." "No no, but if I challenge her and then you swoop in for me as my substitute, and I promise a kiss to the winner and you throw the match--" "Okay I don't want to lose to Ventress but oh my god, I love it."

Move aside, Idiots to Lovers, there's a new ballgame in town!

My first entry for Anakin Rarepair Week 2022!

Anakin has a soulmark. Not everyone does, but enough do that it’s a known thing. A little over half of people have one.

His mom doesn’t have a soulmark, and that’s normal, too.

It manifests when he’s five, which is a good thing. Gardulla always burned the soulmarks off her slaves, but Watto doesn’t care enough to bother. It is on the inside of Anakin’s forearm, and he always wraps it in cloth to hide it from everyone except Mom. Soulmarks are complicated, but they aren’t impossible to replicate, and they’re important.

Anakin likes his soulmark. He likes what he imagines it could mean, whenever he thinks about it for a bit.

There is a sword, with a blue-edged, white blade. There is a stylized helmet, with eye holes that come down into an aurebesh Vev, and a paint pattern he can’t even start to try to understand. There’s more to the shape, but Anakin can’t understand the rest. The images are completely unfamiliar to him, some kind of flower on top of some ragged tear, three long up and three short down. The entire thing is in a red and yellow circle, which is simpler, but just as confusing.

Still. He’s pretty sure the sword is a lightsaber, and the helmet is Mandalorian, and if one of them is for him and the other is for his soulmate, then it means something good.

It means he’s getting off Tatooine.

My second choice pairing for them  PANTRESS I love the potential of Padme/Ventress as a concept, absolutely going all in on Padme's "I can fix her" tendencies

My fluffy pairing for them Anidala again. It's not that I can't ship anything else for Padme, it's just that they obviously cover a lot of ground.

My favorite poly ship for them Considering the amount of Rex/Padme/Anakin I've written, it would be a shock if I chose anything else.
