Often when we approach a pre existing partner with the idea of wanting to open the relationship they feel triggered. A trigger can cause a person to feel abandoned, angry, lonely, betrayed and devastated before anything has even happened. Monogamy can create a false sense of comfort and a belief that if a person loves you then they will never think of others romantically or sexually. I think deep down most people can recognise that this isn’t realistic. Humans are creatures who enjoy variety. Aligned Sovereignty. My incredible friend @eroticprayer nailed the essence of Panogamy today by uncovering the term ‘Aligned Sovereignty’ This is the basis of what I am trying to explain. Panogamy isn’t necessarily a type of Polyamory or a type of Monogamy. It’s a relationship where we are able to govern our own body and growth. Prioritise our choices and live within integrity. Aligned Sovereignty is what we’re living for. If we meet a life partner then Aligned Sovereignty becomes Panogamy. Everyday the picture gets clearer and I am able to explain the revolution I want in relationships thanks to the incredible people around me. Last night we had 26 people join us for an evening discussing open relating. People joined together in groups to discover what it is they are looking for in their relationships. Most people discussed how they were hoping for freedom, some others mentioned what they were looking for was security to travel along side someone. It is important to remember whatever you’re desiring, it is valid. There is no right or wrong way to do relationships. We asked a series of questions to get people thinking about what they desire and it confronted people as they realised they had never asked themselves these questions.
