the fact that he took ryan’s advice about this line to heart So Much hurts me because even if he might’ve not understood the actual meaning behind those lyrics (do we.,..,,.,no we don’t) he knew how important it was and let his friend sing its just JHDFSKJFHFUCK
Unpopular opinion I don’t believe the Theory that something happened in Cape Town , I think the song is really about what everyone says it was , Ryan meeting a girl in Capetown . Apparently the band didn’t break up until 3 months after they went to capetown
i totally get where you’re coming from. i hadn’t heard about that interview jon gave about that song until a little while back, and i get it, but i can’t believe they still put that song out knowing very well everyone knew their last show had been in cape town. and it was about love?? jesus, the young veins, what were you thinking
Do you happen to know where I can find that interview? Or maybe your followers? The one you mentioned where Jon gives brendon food and takes it back? I don’t think I’ve seen it, and I’m just curious. I know it’s old though but figured I’d ask. Thanks

just found out keltie published an autobiography in 2010,,,, i’ve yet to read it in its entirety but here’s a quote that, well. see for yourself

(part 1) I'll tell you all I know about the Panic! At the Disco Split. So after the Pretty. Odd. tour, they all moved to California, and Ryan and Jon lived in a different apartment than Spencer and Brendon (remember this because it comes back later). Ryan already started making new songs, but Spencer and Brendon started making music separately from Jon and Ryan. Ryan and Jon were making music similar to Pretty. Odd., while Brendon and Spencer were making pop sounding music. The two groups
(part 2) The two groups hadn't seen each other for a while at this point, and Spencer and Ryan, who were childhood friends, negotiated that the band should split up since they wanted to make different music. Ryan and Jon started The Young Veins, so Spencer and Brendon are the only members left of Panic! At The Disco. Neither of them wrote too many of the songs before the split, so they had a hard time creating new material (thus the panic attacks Brendon had before he met Rivers Cuomo)
