I think maybe the "cas pulls dean close" was meant to be like, whatever they decided it to be when acting it (like, maybe a kiss or a hug or just the handprint) and if there was a "me too" from dean at the end that it was jensen heller ackles saying it in the moment. Also the possibility of different versions of the script is v really, but ultimately like, who's to say at this point lmao
i DO think there was supposed to be more there because the hand on shoulder is not at all pulling close....i saw this post about how cas did the same thing to meg to get out of the angel fire in Abandon All Hope (except he was probably nicer to Dean lmao) and it seems pretty likely to me
& also yeah I had forgotten that we had already established the “me too” was heller jensen ad-libbing at the end, where they did ADR + after the “can’t reciprocate” thing
