I offered to pick my friend up from the train station because he's done a very long walk today and has another tomorrow, and no need to add an extra mile on to that. I also live very close - it will literally take me less than three minutes to drive there.

He doesn't tell me his train is running over ten minutes late and getting later before it's even left the starting station. And I wouldn't mind, but there's nowhere to wait at the home station and I left my dinner half cooked, because this whole exercise should have - no joke - taken 7 minutes. It took over 25. If I end up with a ticket for loitering in various parts of my town I shouldn't be loitering in, he's paying it.

Why does every commentator think Kimi doesn't deserve the penalty for track limits? No it's not his fault, yes it's the car, but he was still off the track and erratic and therefore potentially dangerous. How is that not a penalty situation?

If anyone following me hates F1 and is worried they're going to have to start blocking or sit through that every weekend, don't worry, Silverstone is the only race of the year I can watch live and have minute by minute reactions to.

I admittedly didn't have my eyes glued to the screen at all times, but I think we actually never saw the incident that threw one of the "top eight" down to the back of the pack. Odd choice.

My thinking behind picking five drivers to support was that I'd always have some good news to balance the bad. Two retirements, one broken front wing, and the double decline of Haas has made this not a great race, tbh.
