The death/thrash metal band PANDEMIC OUTBREAK was formed in Gdańsk, Poland, in late 2014. Four years after their debut “Skulls Beneath the Cross,” Pandemic Outbreak returns from Gdańsk with a slightly refreshed lineup and a new album. “Torment Beyond Comprehension” is a continuation of its predecessor, but significantly more mature and developed. It's still thrash metal with a healthy dose of death metal. The riffs here are mainly thrash. Just like in the good old days: ear-splitting, incredibly aggressive, and thoroughly “metal,” as clichéd as that may sound. In the case of Pandemic Outbreak, it's important to emphasize that the tempo of these tracks doesn't matter. Because these guys can go full throttle Demolition Hammer-style and also plow through with a significant slowdown.
