I love writing irredeemable characters like: there is no motivation for their actions they just do it anyways, they were loved and cared for but threw it away for cruelty, they don’t stand for or defend anything, they are only cruel. It’s fun to watch the despair on my friends face as she gradually realizes that she can’t defend my character. A character with no redeemable qualities. Loved by the heavens themselves yet he still chose to march straight down to hell.
I want to give Volkov a backstory that is depressing and speaks to people but at the same point I also want him to be unforgivable in origin but also this is my OC, my child, should I really traumatize him more than I already have? What do the people think

Currently working on the species reference sheets (starting with the elves of silence as they won the poll) and I must apologize for how sketchy and rough the art will look. My traditional art style is already rather messy and digital art is much more difficult
If anyone wants to send me asks for me to answer while I work on these id greatly appreciate it!
More bracelets. The huge butterflys on the weaver one were so necessary
You know what, I love polls I’m going to make yet another one because WHY NOT
In my beginning drafts the story followed Volkov (our silent main character) from the perspective of outsiders who interact with him, but as I progress through the drafting process I’ve considered changing this to his own perspective or an omniscient narrater so that his character can be better understood (emphasis on SILENT) unfortunately I have no idea which of these would be most enjoyable to read and all my irls keep being overly supportive and say “do what I think is best” which is very unhelpful as my brain is very mean to me. So whoever finds this poll gets to pick
What POV is most enticing for you?
Outsider’s perspective (narrated) our mc is judged off of body language alone
Omniscient narrater, we can see into our mc’s head and the outsiders
Mc’s perspective, not first person, a narrative telling of his thoughts
Mc’s perspective, first person, self explanatory (I HATE first person writing)
Other??? Suggest in comments or send an ask
