so i guess we’re talking about whether or not cas is “gay”, and i do kinda wanna share my opinion just cuz i’m bad at keeping it to myself. i definitely love the energy behind calling cas gay, i support y’all! yes cas is technically non-binary as his true form does not have human genitalia and angels probably do not have a concept of gender. however we’ve been addressing cas as a man for the past 11 years so really that’s not relevant at all. it’s 100% valid to label his sexuality with the assumption that he is a man. the thing that bugs me is that cas is canonically attracted to women. you can come up with a lot of different ways to explain that away and like that’s fine as a headcanon but, i, personally, have elected to believe that cas is written as bisexual or pansexual since he’s been canonically attracted to women both while human and while an angel. but thats getting a little more technical than necessary, really. if gay cas makes you happy, absolutely keep calling cas the gay angel, we deserve that. the show is so inconsistent anyways we have a lot of freedom to pick and choose what we want to believe about the characters.
