The world building for that movie is weird.

So... the explorer dude finds intelligent bears, and that's a big discovery.

Yet...

There's a old bear's home that Padington's aunt (aunt? Idk. It's been a while) goes to.

And when he's in the trains station/subway thingy, the dad says "it's probably just a sales bear" or whatever it was.

So... Are intelligent animals common? Or what? Like.... what's going on?
