Last mermaids for this year (so far- I got one more sketch but I don’t think I’ll get it don before the end of may considering how busy I am). Had another go at the red lipped bat fish as I just did a few sketches last year. That’s a fun challenge to anthropomorphize. The black ghost knife fish (what a name!) was a fish I wanted to do after seeing the awesome art by Erin:

I also had a go at a paddle fish (was gonna do basking shark- but paddle fish is that little bit more weird) then another colourful fish also called bat fish.

Why though? Nothing special, I just wanted to make Monk-fish puns, or cleric class fish peeps? Ok, it’s cloth practice! I wanted to be silly!
So after 5 years I finally got a phone upgrade. Coming from my shiny new phone with an awesome camera, some sketches of skulls and animals from The Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. Dolphin skulls have my vote for most nightmare inducing. -M
