unexpected turn of events.
A plastic bag hung from her wrist; it contained a box with freshly made lunch that she prepared for herself. She hadn’t realized she had made too much until finishing one third of it and not being able to continue. So, why not give the rest to her big brother, right? Right. Now if only she knew where he was. See, it would have been much easier to text him, but she walked out of her dorm in such a rush that her mind slipped, forgetting to grab her cellphone.
“I’m not going to find him at this rate. Maybe I should go back,” she murmured to herself, eyes staring down at her feet. What a bad idea that was. Because of her thoughtless action, Joyce collided with another student, resulting her feet to stumble backwards. (She didn’t fall though, and the lunch was safe, thank God.) Her eyes immediately averted to the other individual. “Oh no, oh no. I’m so, so, so, sorry. I should have watched where I was going!”
