Chapter One

My first post of sharing my ideas for my post A:TLA world where Zutara is canon!!
I don't think many of us talk about this but imagine her majesty, Lady Katara taking part in her culture with the women in her family (her daughters, along with Suki and her daughter), and also with her fellow water tribe women in such grandeur and unity.
PS:- For the people that do not know, this song is called 'Ghoomar' from the Bollywood film 'Padmaavat'. The music video is available on YouTube if y'all wanna watch.
When I became a Zutara fan at the time in May of 2024, and in so long when I was rewatching the music video for this song after that, I envisioned Katara dancing, along with other women around her. I thought to myself, what if we get to see Katara participating in HER culture with the women in her family and tribe through traditional song/music and cultural folk dancing, while also beautifully bending water here and there as they danced. It crossed my mind that, they can, and that they could do it at special times. So, I was thinking about a time or a day that could be considered momentous for the Water Tribes and then, it just clicked. What other day is special for them, than the day Princess Yue sacrificed herself, to save them and the world from potentially going out of balance. So, in my head, each year that day is marked as a special holiday and is grandly celebrated in both tribes (mostly in the Northern Water Tribe since Yue is from there and that is where that event occurred). I have thought out that, when that day is upon arrival each year, Southern Water Tribe people will travel to the Northern Water Tribe. And on that day, people of both tribes connect with each other through each other's food and cultural activities etc. So this day also kind of unites Northern and Southern Water Tribe people together. Finally on the night of that day (because Yue sacrificed herself on the night of that day, hence why to symbolize that), a grand water tribe traditional dance is done by women and each year, women of both tribes take turns, where in the current year, women of one tribe does their respective cultural dance and in the next year, women of the other tribe do the same and this tradition lives on. The reason why I decided it's women is because, the person who carried the half life of the literal moon spirit was a girl, and as a girl, coming from the Northern Water Tribe where it's society was unhealthily patriarchal towards it's women before, it must've been a pretty big deal that a girl as young as sixteen, WILLINGLY did such an act of sacrifice, courage and selflessness in taking the place of the FREAKIN moon spirit, the literal power source of waterbenders. Something that probably won't come close to anything that a regular Water Tribe man has ever done. I mean, this is also a great way of acknowledging Yue as a character and her role in A:TLA. So yeah this is one of my ideas for my post A:TLA world where Zutara is canon.
