The words for the first (dead dove) were: blindness, numbness, helplessness. I turned it into Ratan/Alauddin, where a mysterious miracle occurs and Ratan survives the battle in spite of having quite obviously been wounded to a point where he should have died. This angers Alauddin tremendously, and he orders Ratan to be taken alongside him as his prisoner back to Delhi after having been blinded (if you research the Delhi Sultanate, blinding someone was a common punishment to make sure they would become harmless). He then tries his best to convince Ratan to describe Padmavati to him and sort of treats her as proxy-Padmavati while Ratan plans his escape and/or honourable death. Dead dove, as I said.
The prompt words for the second fic were presumed dead, (blind) rage, and tears. I based it off the Siege of Warangal. Alauddin gets news that the siege has succeeded, but that Malik died while leading the charge: overcome with complex feelings, he mounts his own party to go there and make sure that Malik is indeed dead, all the while grappling with grief in a very Alauddin way.
