Rachel Sloane (Crush): He met Rachel a few months back, while she was hanging out at the Underground Restaurant. He’d come down from unloading power for the Hotel Winona and was starving. They started talking after he’d gotten his order and he stayed for hours. He’d found out she was new and some of her interests and it felt human and normal, despite them being immortals. He swings by the restaurant every night, just in case she’s there and he could talk to her again.

Scorpius Getta (Boss): Harry thought Getta would be kicking him out when he summoned him for a conversation, quite the opposite happened. He took Harry around the Hotel Winona and explained the vision. Then he asked if he’d be willing to generate energy for the construction, as to avoid detecting from other clans in Chicago. Harry quickly realized this may be the only job he’d get that was interesting and that he couldn’t totally mess up. He donates and manipulates energy once or twice a day and gets paid. Clara Fields (Acquaintance): Clara has been helping with a lot of the designs in the Hotel. He was surprised to see a Heavy underground, but Getta was clear when he told him not to mention it. She asked about having him on retainer for any possible power outages at the Fields Hotel, which he’s been considering.

Aisling Rois (Friendly): He met Aisling at Cryptic when he first arrived in Chicago. They hit it off well and she’s introduced him to others like Ana and Lestat.

Ana Vickors (Friendly): She’s been very welcoming to him, and after Getta hired him she showed him around the Underground. 

Sadie McCoy (Boss): He knows he works for Getta, but he thinks that Sadie might also be his boss. She introduced him to the builders for the underground and is the one that directs him where they need energy today. 

Bitwa Armii (Mentor): Bitwa has been training Harry for the past year. He knows that he is a bit disappointed in his lack of “ambition” as he puts it, but Harry is too exhausted by the end of the day from generating for the Underground to pursue a craft. Despite that, Bitwa has been supportive especially with the physical toll that Ergokinesis puts on his body, and he’s always offering solutions. A part of Harry feels bad he can’t tell Bitwa what is happening, but he doesn’t want to break Getta’s trust.

Petra Chak (Scared of): Petra is really scary and she’s told him that she doesn’t like him down in the Underground. His only comfort is that he’s pretty sure Getta needs him and that she wouldn’t double cross Getta.

Dan Prior (Uncertain of): He knows that Dan is a friend of Rachel’s, but he doesn’t know how he feels about him. Dan gives him looks that he doesn’t quite understand, and he thinks he may hate him. 

Sven (Scared of): Sven is always just kind of looming around, and when he does talk, it’s stoic and wise. There’s something off settling about him, and Harry is glad he usually only goes around him when Sadie is there.

Nadir Armii (Son): Nadir has taken after his mother in her ergokinesis. It was with Nadir that Bitwa realized the methods and techniques he used to teach Tamar apply just as well with other forms of Elemental magic. 

Tariq Armii (Son): Tariq has increasingly become obsessed with Alchemy since he began his Master levels and it has Bitwa concerned. He’s attempted to refocus Tariq in his Spells studies, but he can’t get him to pay attention for more than a few months.

Uri Kaur (Daughter): While Uri is not as gifted in Artificial Manipulation as her siblings, she exceeds them all in Spells. She has a knack for creation and development that has always impressed Bitwa.

Sef Weyden (Son): Sef and Bitwa had a brutal falling out over his lack of motivation. Sef denounced his father and took on the moniker of Weyden to show his disapproval of his father. They haven’t spoken in 200 years, though he talks to his mother and sister. He’s become a father and grandfather multiple times over, and Bitwa is eager to teach any grandchildren who may come to him from Sef.

Cyril Armii (Son): Cyril is the youngest and most skilled of his children for his age. His eidetic memory has aided him well with his Ambient Resource Construction power, and he is already showing signs of easily creating Artificial Souls. 

Romantic Connections:

Raima Armii (Former Wife): Raima and Bitwa married when they were relatively young and had kids quickly thereafter. She was a powerful ergokinetic in her own right and they had a very happy marriage. However, the constant pain she suffered through as a result of her power was agonizing. One day Raima left a radiation burn on Tariq, and was horrified at what she did. He’d found the note she left him before they found her body in the river. Bitwa has been one of the largest donors and researchers in finding cures or at least aids for Ergokinetics’ symptoms.

Shireen Armii (Wife): It was 100 years before Bitwa was able to open himself up. Shireen was different from Raima and it wasn’t as instantaneous of a love connection. However there was a steady calmness to Shireen, one that grounded both him and his children. He was extremely overprotective, and overbearing, the first 50 years of their marriage; terrified that she would abandon him and his children. It took her falling pregnant, and a serious warning from her to back off and allow her to live as a self possessed warlock. They’ve been much better since and had 3 children of their own. She was the one who pushed the move to Chicago so he could go back to mentoring.

Averill Sookram (Friend): Averill Sookram was not a person Bitwa ever anticipated calling a friend. They met after his youngest decided to mentor under him for Hexes and Jinxes. He has a brilliant mind and is tough on his students; a practice Bitwa follows in his own teaching. They’ll get together to smoke and have a drink when Averill is in town, and in that time period.  

Ishtar Cleirigh (Friend): Ishtar had known Raima, and was working on a solution for her pain when she died. In the following years, when Ishtar came back his way they’d talk and she’d spout some arrogant vague nonsense about his future happiness. He hadn’t believed her until he met Shireen and the pieces fell into place in his mind. Tariq briefly mentored under her before ultimately settling down with a different mentor in Sao Paulo. 

Harry Reeves (Mentee): Harry was the first mentee that Bitwa took on in Chicago. He’s an ergokinetic with wonderful skill and discipline, but terrible drive. Harry is aimless and stumbles into every life choice and experience, even in finding a mentor. Bitwa has been reserved about forcing this issue with him, given how Sef reacted all those years ago. He thinks if he could find a reason for Harry to try, he could be brilliant. A part of his mind also thinks back to his wife and the suffering she went through as an ergokinetic, but he doesn’t dwell on this. 

Ronan Cleirigh (Friend): He and Ronan primarily know each other through Ishtar, and he holds a great respect for the man. He takes care of his own and has a successful and driven family.

Jace Cicero (Friend): Jace is an old friend of Bitwa. He was the one who suggested to Shireen that they come and live in Chicago for a while. They trained together for many years, and Shireen even mentored under Jace.

Vladimir Draga (Dislikes): Bitwa has seen many mentors in his time, but few who cares as little as Draga does. In the times he has seen Vladimir with his mentees, they seem like a burden. He thinks he should go back to the Mark book.

Kady Gaines (Dislikes): Kady, like Vlad, seems to not take her responsibilities very seriously. Mentoring for a craft is a fine thing to do, but when you care more about your own workings than your students it may be time to step back from those responsibilities.

→ His Personality Bee has many different aspects to his personality. He will often be serious and even threatening when a situation calls for it, but he is also practical and can calmly face difficult truths. Bee has a humorous side, often shown in the form of witty or sarcastic comments, especially when hanging around the few people he fully trusts. He can be carefree when off-duty or on vacation, easily bonding with the members of his family and friends; even going as far as pranking them. Bee is very close to his family and friends, specifically his wife, Kaylor and his longtime friend Eric, whom he would give his life to protect the both of them. Just like most of the others with the Cleirigh name or mark, Bee treats the few friends he does have as family and will protect them at all costs. He has great interpersonal skills, but unlike his wife, Bee becomes nervous and quite awkward or giddy when meeting new people.

Bee is not afraid of death. Having a brother in law as a necromancer has its perks but Bee has no interest in anything that might prolong his life; especially now that he is nearing a thousand years old. Cassia comes from a warlock line where family means absolutely nothing and it feeds into her everyday life. Love, happiness and joy are words that hold no meaning to her. Some see her as cold but she’s a realist. She’s independent, practical minded, strong, aggressive and conservative. Cassia is great with emergencies, making her work at the local hospital and learning her powers a breeze. She hardly expects good things to happen, learning from past mistakes, allowing that knowledge to dictate her future rather than hoping and wishing for the best. This also feeds into her over confidence and unwillingness to ask for help. She is her own biggest enemy and is always fighting with herself over what she knows is right and what she truly wants. Kudzai Rinker (Mentor): Kudzai had originally thought Cassia was from her family line. Cassia fought to prove that while she doesn’t know her parents she was not from the Rinker lineage. She is unsure what Kudzai saw in her but she accepted her mentorship once proof was given. They have a strong mentor and mentee relationship but nothing more. 

Jace Cicero (Former Mentor/Friend): Jace was Cassia’s first mentor when she went to Chicago. As a male, elemental master she was not sure what he could bring to her education, but he helped her catch Kudzai’s attention and put in a good word for her. They remain good friends to this day, with Cassia taking on much of his weekly healing.

Tristan Lawton (Good Friend): Tristan has the same power as Cassia. At first she gave him a wide berth but slowly softened up to him as she taught him ways that helped her handle her own powers. He does not have quite the same aptitude for Biokinetics, and as a result many of her techniques haven’t worked.

Sada Warren (Jealous): Despite no longer mentoring under Kudzai, Sada still has a closer relationship to Cassia’s mentor. She is jealous of the attention, despite trying her hardest not to be. 

Audo Wilhelm (Dislike): She doesn’t really get why a first generation Wilhelm is studying with a warlock, and secretly thinks he’s running a long game on the Cleirighs.

→ History

Cassia was left as a baby on the footsteps of hospital just outside of Cincinnati. No notes, no explanation, with a scrap of fabric as a blanket. She was a small, sickly baby, prone to tremors, but once big enough, she left the hospital and was brought to an orphanage. There, her shakes continued, as did her growing anger and jadedness. Cassia was largely passed over for adoption at the orphanage, and as soon as she could she left to figure out life on her own. She worked originally as a maid for a wealthy house, but found her shaking hands destroyed any chance at succeeding and she was fired soon after. Cassia bounced around various jobs, until she found work in a hospital kitchen. She found a love for caring for people. Speaking to the patients when she brought up food, developing a report with nurses and doctors. She then trained to become a nurse aid. It was in this job that Cassia found herself. She had a knack for coming in right when a patient was at their worst and pulling them through. She could calm the most distressed through calm words and a hand on the wrist, and a few times found wounds on her that were miraculously gone from a patient the next day. Cassia tried to chalk it up to coincidence but never forgot it. 

About 5 years into her nursing career Cassia was found by Emmett Wilhelm. Reports of “miraculous” healing had been coming out of the hospital for nearly a decade, and he went to investigate, finally discovering it was her after seeing her work in the emergency wing. He explained everything over coffee and offered fare to Chicago. She told him to get out and was walking to the door to kick him out, only to find a man made of fire in his place. He walked towards her and transformed back. She finally began to believe him and a week later was in Chicago. She was introduced to the possible mentors within her first few days and only got one offer from Jace Cicero in the following week. He was an elemental, seemingly nice, and the only one who wanted her. A few weeks later she got a job at Mercy Hospital and began working as a nurse. There she saw Kudzai Rinker for the first time, saving a man who had been nearly at the edge of death. She became fascinated with her, bringing up what she saw to Jace when she arrived home. He gave her a name and a location to find her and set her off. The first time she got the door slammed in her face. A week later after watching her again she got an abrupt transfer to pediatrics at the behest of a senior staff member. The next week she listened for a minute before teleporting away. After the third rejection, she told Jace she was giving up. A few days later Kudzai called her. 

She’d take her on if she proved not to be a Rinker. She had a week to prove it. Jace gave her a copy of the book of Marks and she poured over it on her nights off. Together they found that she wasn’t a close relation to any major family. Kudzai became her mentor and began training her. She was an incredibly quick study and mastered her beginning powers easily. Kudzai then forced her to get her degree in Nursing to continue training. With her abilities, Cassia began to flourish in a way she never thought she could.

→ The Present

Cassia has recently started training on the advanced level power called Healing Touch. Under Kudzai she was able to quickly master her basic powers of Regenerative Healing and Internal Bodily Cleansing. While she has not mastered Health Manipulation, she’s hoping that training with Healing Touch will help her advance. Cassia has also been incorporating Tristan into her potions, spells and charms training. Cassia has joined a private experimental study to help find a remedy or cure to the frequent hand spasms that Biokinetics experience daily. 

When she’s not completely focused on her powers and training, Cassia takes time to watch and learn from the warlocks and witches around her. As a Biokinetic she had to attend medical school and Kudzai taught her that it was not only important to know the body but also to know the magic that flows through the warlock or witch that you’re working on. Trying to heal someone with magic that can’t be healed would be devastating. Tom Mills (Best Friend): Tom is a cute little human that Ashley shared an elective class with when her freshman year of college. They had a shared project they bonded over. Ashley convinced Tom to stay in Chicago for his Masters degree also instead of moving after they both graduated from the bachelor's program.

Anya Grace (Best Friend): Ashley and Anya met around the same time as Tom. Their shared Advanced Chemistry together and a strong hatred of their professor. As the years passed, Ashley started to see Anya as a sister. She has met Anya's entire family and they know Ashley as Anya’s best friend. Ashley's parents believe she is being reckless but she does not want to eventually lose her friend to old age or end their friendship to keep her away from their world. Ashley does not feed into it being the way of immortals or something she has to get used to.  

Austin Semler (Good Friend): Austin is a nimble that shares most of her classes. She was hesitant of him at first until he became friends with Tom and Anya. That was enough for Ashley to give him a chance. Ashley is glad she has someone in their friend group that she can talk about supernatural things with and can easily cover for one another. He can be a jerk sometimes but at least he knows it.

Chai Gates (Friend): Chai mentees under Eric too. Chai has introduced Ashley to nearly everyone that she ‘needs to know’ in the supernatural community; including taking Ashley to all the supernatural hot spots.

Belle Cunningham (Friend): Belle mentees under Eric too. They are not as close as Chai but they are still close and Ashley considers her a friend.

Nathan Cleirigh (Boss): Eric got Ashley a job with the local supernatural psychiatrist. Nathan has degrees in neuroscience, psychology and pathology. He happily let Ashley intern with him, giving her his human patients and allowing her to work the front desk for extra hours and time. Ashley has learned a lot from Nathan and is pushing to start helping out with Nathan’s supernatural patients.

Talia Cleirigh (Co-Worker): Talia has a branch within Nathan’s practice. She loves how they both are putting their powers to use by helping supernaturals and humans mentally. Ashley loves to pick and prod at Talia’s mind and get her input whenever a research paper is assigned and due.

Sid Velanica (Friendly): Chai introduced Ashley to Sid. Initially, Ashley was unsure what to think about him but he knows how to make her laugh and have a good time.

Skylar Beckham (Friendly): Eric introduced Skylar to their bunch just recently. Skylar is new to the supernatural world and shares Eric’s mark. They are around the same age. Ashley likes her well enough and is willing to teach her the basics.

Lawrence is loyal, determined, and unerringly sarcastic. A wild card in every sense of the word, he is known to take very little seriously. He likes to live life untethered and with as many experiences as possible. Many of his colleagues sees him as irreverent with an anti-authoritarian streak; being uncontrollable and unbearable by those who haven’t earned his respect. However, in social settings he can fit in anywhere, and has found friends across the globe. Thanks to his father, Lawrence has an annoyingly curious nature and a desire to know how things work. He’s not a book learner, but excels in practical magic and applications. Lawrence has a tendency to be lazy, as he seeks to appease his inner happiness. He can spend a whole day lying around if he thinks that’s what it’ll take to be fulfilled. 

Lawrence Cocci, born Lorenzo Cocci, had always been taught that magic was a responsibility by his mother. It was something that needed to be mastered and always controlled, especially with a power as destructive as his. Gloria Cocci had big expectations for her children, and refused to allow her son to ruin it for her. She had him trained ferociously, hiring all the best elementals to attempt to get through to her son. However, Lawrence was incredibly average with his powers, learning each within the designated age range, but never pushing harder to master any specific part of his training. She was one of the first to introduce the ideas of policing magic with councils, and acted as a diplomat to many major families when introducing the idea around the globe. She always said he had so much potential, but he wasted it with his lack of sincerity.

Giovanni Cocci (Father): Giovanni was a reprieve from Gloria in many ways. He was relaxed, and happy and treated magic as if it was something to be lawless. Nearly all of Lawrence’s happy memories from childhood revolve around him and his father experimenting and being free.

Patch Cipriano (Friend): Patch is very entertaining and fun to be around. Lawrence is fascinated by Patch openness about being a human shifter.

Gretchen Sims (Party Friend): Gretchen seems to know everything going on around town, including where to score. She introduced him to Bath Salts and still manages to find some when he needs it.
