this was the last art piece i was working on before i "quit" "furry" art and i never finished it but at the time i was playing with my old fursona owlheart. i made her when i was 12 and she had an edgy murderous dark side, you know the trope. and i thought wouldn't it be cool if i re-explored that edgy dark side trope but i gave it serious weight with the things i know now as an adult. and i also made it retrospective in terms of my undiagnosed DID and whatnot
it would be cool to do something similar with leaftail even if that's not her Whole Concept like it is with owlheart... like i don't want to get rid of the part where she Turns "Evil" and attempts to murder her stepmom. i know there's a fuzzy line between honoring my own self expression as an unknowing child with DID and like, perpetuating harmful "evil alter" stereotypes but there's gotta be a way to walk on that line somewhere lol. i have very strong feelings about the only ways child me knew how to express her disorientation with poor memory and her whiplash in emotions and identity

It's just convenience." (She eats Pride district workers who get fired, she's rather lax about it at least in terms of herself being a large predator <-in her eyes. She'd be slightly more concerned if she saw her underlings eat each other bc that's a workplace hazard and possible HR violation)
Owlheart - "... You should really not be talking about this in earshot of any Gardeners. We are constantly surrounded by babies." (Guess who's gotten super extensive taboo and honor code training for this lifestyle)

um . surprise ??? sso i uh. got REALLY busy (i work in theater tech and its CRAZY man) but after a few weeks of stability i binged @our-clangen and it brought me BACK to thinking about my clangen comic . so. hi. this page was a wip from a few months ago so expect a style shift going forward because i found a more comfortable brush for myself

I experimented with a few different styles before settling on grayscale with the little sound ripples.
