O! Steve knows he has a reputation for being a playboy and tries extra hard to prove to Eddie that he cares more about him than just his body. Heβs deliberate about taking the relationship slow and making sure that everything is above board. No touches below the belt. No heavy scenting or overly friendly kisses and every date is either in a group or in pubic. Steve makes sure that he sleeps in his own bed and gives Eddie plenty of space. Meanwhile O!Eddie is giving all the hints to Steve that he wants to be touched! He practically goes feral when Steve enters the room. The only thing keeping him from jumping Steveβs bones is the items he keeps stealing from Steves room that are heavy with Steveβs scent. He excuses himself to sniff it when heβs feeling too frustrated and it helps calm his omega down.
overthinking yazβs word choice here:
YASMIN: First things first. We're still looking for a missing girl, and it's a strong possibility that the Angel sent her back in time too, so she'll be worried.
why worried, why not scared. i think if i were talking about a ten year old who was zapped to the past iβd say she was probably scared
Some life advice I gave a friend for anyone else who needs it.
There's a difference between doing something and being something. Mistakes are done, so existing can't be a mistake, full stop. If you identify what you are as what you've done wrong, you're looking in the wrong place and won't be able to work on the problem. You have to look through what you did and how you did it.
"Being too hurtful" doesn't tell yourself what to do about it. "Doing this thing that was hurtful" gives you somewhere to start from.
With that said, too, you have to be careful not to misidentify which action was a mistake, because you don't want to work on the wrong thing. That, and the action itself may not have been the mistake, but how it was executed.
And of course, learning from mistakes is necessary for doing better next time, but also be careful about overcorrection. Overcorrection can bring new problems to the table.
The Sinners
βSheβs a witch!β in days of yore
could quickly seal your fateβ
those three words and a finger point
would fan the flames of hate.
Now, instead of burning fires,
your life become un-friended,
and the deadliest accusation is
when folks say, βIβm offended!β
Lose your job, your livelihood,
and everything youβve earned,
and it doesnβt matter if itβs true
when your reputationβs burned.
I only wonder if the mob
who yearns to cast their stones
will be so eager when the sins
on trial are their own.

American Inquisition
Hereβs to every left-bent indignitary who relentlessly
continues to engage in intellectually lazy derision
of their fellow man, standing in self-righteous social
judgment of anyone who fails to conform to their own
code of emergent ethics, amplifying every little word
for political dissection, pointing at every little gesture
with slanted gaze, negating all nuance, demanding
abjection, without recognizing the ironic hypocrisy
of their own conduct, the multitude of personal sins
stored in their secret accounts ripe for unraveling,
the stones at their feet bloody with conceit, the reality
that no one is as bad as the worst thing they have ever
done, and no one is as good as they think they are.
the 10% feels like an overcorrection?
