Why would you even ask this? Do I give off a vibe that I think gatekeeping is cool? Surprise! Gatekeeping like this is garbage. It sounds like something a TERF would ask, and I'm absolutely NOT down with TERF lines of thought.
Some people identify their sexuality right away and never question it later. Other people may more need more time, life experience, and/or opportunity to feel comfortable with knowing who they are. And lots of people find that how they identify changes over time as they age.
People should feel free to learn who they are in whatever way works for them*, without later friends or romantic partners judging and discarding them.
Toss outdated terms and ideologies in the trash where they belong. Embrace inclusivity.
*obviously assuming they aren't harming someone else in the process
