How do you call something upscale, without saying upscale? - When it was first announced that @esquirehotel and @barristersnc were opening right down the street in Gastonia, @paigewilhog and I were curious to see how the space would come together, and how the community would respond. Based on our Instagram research, and some poking around on the blogs and feeds of the CLT “influencer” scene, there wasn’t much... and it led to incredible surprises for us. We’ll have more coming soon over on @theheritageblnd, but in short: @esquirehotel was the perfect #staycation with its convenience to our home, its beautiful spaces, and the familial feeling of a staff that truly cares about their guests’ experiences. #AndrewsHighSchoolEC garden needed tomato plant trimming yesterday. I added some cayenne pepper to (hope and pray) deter the herd of produce bloated geese from continuing their tour of destruction. Thankfully these lovelies have thick skin, no match for even the most determined of goose beak.
