04/03/17 - Otter Crest, OR - MADE IT TO THE CREST - During my rehab, one of the things that kept me going was the thought of getting strong enough to hike up the steep road to Otter Crest. Today was that special day. The sun was a nice bonus. What's next?

09/25/17 - Otter Crest State Park, OR - NO BRAKES - Today was special for two reasons. First, I found out that I still have my climbing legs. It is almost a thousand feet elevation gain to the top of Otter Crest and today’s ride to the top, after only two weeks back on the bike, was much easier than expected - almost effortless, as a matter of fact, which was a complete surprise. The second, and much more fun reason, is that I did the entire descent down to Otter Rock without having to use my brakes one time through the turns. Overall, a very good day on the bike. I’ll take it.

04/11/17 - Miroco, OR - OREGON COAST BRIDGES - If you like cool retro looking bridges, drive the Oregon Coast - you'll see a ton of them. This is a small one on the stunning Otter Crest Loop.
