— being a twink/otter/bear/ottewink/ottear because one is intersex. this might be due to high or low sex hormone levels (such as hyperandrogenism), low responsivity to sex hormones (such as androgen insensitivity), or a trait associated or caused by a specific intersex variation that's not listed before (such as having xxy chromosomes). the reasons listed are not all-encompassing and are just the ones I thought of first. all flags are intersex exclusive.

— I generally define twink as someone who is hairless and thin, an otter as someone who has an "average" body type and has some hair, and a bear as someone who is fat and hairy. these terms have a decent chunk of flexibility (a twink might have some body hair and be thin, an otter might be fat with no hair or thin with a lot of hair, etc.). fatness is also very broad and is not tied to a specific weight bc that is cringe and everyone carries weight differently. terms like twink and bear are traditionally used by gay men, but these terms are only exclusive to intersex folks.
