Don't know what animal to choose as your linktype? Here's what you can try and do! :3
1. Use a color spectrum photo, then pick a color! you can use spin a wheel or play "eeny meeny miny moe" if you don't know what to pick!
Doing this can help you find an animal that fits the color spectrum in these photos! If you don't want real animals, try to look up mythical/fictional animals that fit the color spectrums!
If you picked red, try looking up "red animals",
Images like this will show up. And it might give you ideas!
If you don't like the choices. Instead of picking through colors, try looking into other animals that fit into the color spectrum. It doesn't need to be every one of them!

2. Do you have a fursona or fursuit? you can try linking with its species instead! OR, you can try to link your fursona itself as your linktype. Some people do identify as anthropomorphic!

3. If you really like anthropomorphic animals (furry), you can try linking with fictional animal characters instead. Whether they are from games, cartoons, movies, shows, or books. (Fictionlink)
These are my suggestions if you want to get into a fandom that includes them, I think they make great fictionlinks:

4. There's a thing called sociallink.
A Sociallink is an otherlink identity that formed to feel connected to friends, pets, a species or be part of a group.
But in this case, I personally call it "motimancy" or "motivationlink/motilink/m'link" when it comes to the context that I will be talking about right now!
"motimancy" Is rather an otherlink practice for when you build a strong bond or strong appreciation with an animal or fictional character on purpose, so it can motivate you, influence you, or inspire you to voluntarily identify that way.

5. If you really do struggle to pick anything. You can try to PURPOSEFULLY create your identity, you can look through ideas to make a "character/sona". Then link yourself with it.
