Tray Number 7 was a strange one. It was fine up until about 3 days before I changed to number 8. Suddenly my front teeth started hurting. I’m pretty sure it’s because Susan was moving again.
Susan’s hook started about 7 mm from the tray and now it’s about 4 mm from the tray. It hasn’t even been a week and she’s made quite some progress. The hole in my palate is being filled with Susan passing along so there’s that. I’ve decided if the hook is hitting my tray way before the end of February, I’m going to make another appointment and see if Susan can get adjusted again. I’m not sure if Susan is moving faster that my orthodontist expected and if it might throw off her plan for bringing Susan into place.
I switched to Tray No. 8 last night and at first I felt some tightness and I thought today would have been a rough day but it wasn’t bad at all. I guess once your teeth start moving they’re less likely to be incredibly sore. :shrugs:
My pontic fell out of my tray as soon as I took it out of the bag. Instead of giving up I stuck some wax in the tray and jammed the pontic back in. It worked! The pontic is still hanging in there after a day of regular wear. Way to go ortho wax!
The girl who set up my trays cut off the second half of what keeps my big rubber band in place so the rubber band kind of flaps against my cheek instead of laying flat against the tray. Kind of annoying but I’ll be dealing with it until the end of February so I’m sure I will either get use to it or find a way to make it less annoying. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Until next time,
Peace, Love and Straight Teeth
