[TV리포트=김예나 기자] 끝날 줄 모르는 폭염이다. 하지만 한여름을 더 뜨겁게 보내고 있는 이들이 있다. 바로 아이돌 그룹이 그렇다. [ Non-NU’EST portions omitted ] 그룹 뉴이스트도 새 앨범 발매를 앞두고 있다. 멤버별 티저 영상을 공개하며 팬들의 기대치를 끌어올리고 있다. 아트 필름으로 구성된 영상은 멤버별 전혀 다른 이미지를 꺼내놓았다. 뉴이스트는 오는 29일 다섯 번째 미니앨범 ‘CANVAS’로 컴백한다.

In the format of the art films, each member are seen with a different image. NU’EST will make a comeback on the 29th of this month with mini album ‘CANVAS’.

JJCC 에디 “뉴이스트-우주소녀, 음방서 눈길가”(인터뷰) 

[제니스뉴스=이나래 기자] 그룹 JJCC가 음악방송에서 눈에 띄는 가수로 뉴이스트와 우주소녀를 꼽았다.

JJCC는 최근 서울 마포구 상암동 모처에서 제니스뉴스를 만나 이야기를 나눴다.

같이 음악방송 활동을 하면서 눈에 띄는 가수로 에디는 “뉴이스트 선배님”이라고 대답했다.

에디는 “개인적으로 백호 선배와 친분이 있다. 콘셉트도 좋고 안무도 잘 나왔다. ‘뮤직뱅크’ 출근길 이벤트도 독특한 것 같다”고 말했다.

JJCC Eddy “NU’EST-WJSN, Eye-catching at Music Programs” (Interview)

[ZENITHNEWS=Reporter Lee Narae] Group JJCC picked NU’EST and WJSN as artistes that caught their attention on music programs. 

JJCC met up with ZENITH NEWS recently at Seoul, Mapo-gu, Sangam-dong for an interview.

In regards to who they've noticed while promoting on music programs together, Eddy replied "NU'EST-sunbaenim*".

Eddy said, "I'm personally closely acquainted with Baekho-sunbae. The concept is good and the choreography also came out well. Their arrival events for  'Music Bank' seemed unique too."

*Sunbaenim means ‘senior’ in formal, polite tense. We decided to leave it as it is as ‘senior’ sounds a little odd.

In the few hours of NU’EST’s Q is. teaser release, we’re seeing quite a few fun theories and fanmade creations on SNS as L.O.V.Es put their creativity to the test! The short 29-second teaser has since been transformed into different gifsets, fanart and edits, crossing fandoms in an unexpected way. Check out the MV here if you haven’t.

Among these include Alice in Wonderland concepts, where the 'Q is.' logo looked eerily alike the Chesire Cat from afar, to further discussions of the members likened to characters in the same fiction here and here.

Following up, some fans have matched up soundtracks from popular games Undertale and Final Fantasy, creating a harmonious unity despite the different styles of music. 

Some fans have also matched individual members to popular fictitious characters, such as Ren to a male version of Snow White, and Minhyun as a Star Wars Jedi, lightsaber included. 

Personally, I think the Hunger Games soundtrack could have a song or two that fits the teaser, and would love to see an Avatar-inspired meme. Till then, L.O.V.Es, do let us know what other thoughts you have when watching the teaser.

With a dream-like backdrop of falling snow and dystopian world (thus far), it seemed like the ‘Q is.’ teaser was made for all sorts of fairytale and whimsical possibilities, and we hope to see more in due time.

Ich trage Lederblousons, in meiner Generation eine Seltenheit, sie sind nicht im Kanon der Läden, die meine Generation als Zielgruppe haben.

Seit Neuestem trägt Daniel Craig, in James Bond ein Lederblouson wie ich eines habe. Das könnte das Ende meiner Ego-Lederblouson-Dynastie bedeuten und ich könnte plötzlich Komplimente für meinen Stil bekommen.

2001 hatte ich einen Irokesenschnitt, fanden viele blöd. 2002 bekam ich im Nachhinein Zuspruch, ich solle es doch wieder so tragen. Man erinnerte sich an David Beckham.

'주간아이돌' 정형돈, 스태프에 "뉴이스트 사생이야?" 폭소

[TV리포트=김가영 기자] '주간아이돌' 정형돈이 스태프를 뉴이스트 사생으로 오해해 웃음을 안겼다.

17일 방송된 MBC 에브리원 '주간아이돌'에서는 피에스타, 뉴이스트가 게스트로 출연했다. 이날 랜덤 플레이 댄스 코너가 진행됐다. 멤버들은 각자 흘러나오는 곡에 맞춰 댄스를 선보여야하는 것.

이날 뉴이스트 차례에서는 '굿바이바이' 한소절이 흘러나왔다. 같은 구간이 반복되는 곡의 특성상 뉴이스트 차례에는 매번 비슷한 부분이 흘러나왔고 반면 피에스타에게는 매번 다른 구간이 흘러나왔다.

곡을 듣던 정형돈은 "왜 뉴이스트는 이 부분만 계속 나오냐. 여기 뉴이스트 사생 있느냐"고 말하며 분노해 웃음을 안겼다.

[TV Report=Kim Gayoung Reporter] 'Weekly Idol's Jung Hyungdon's misunderstanding of the staff as NU'EST sasaeng fans evoked laughter.

NU'EST and FIESTAR appeared as guests on the 17th Sep episode of MBC Entertainment programme 'Weekly Idol'. The 'Random Play Dance' corner was played on that day. Members have to dance as accordingly to the specific part of the song played.

That day, during NU'EST's turns, only one bar of 'Good Bye Bye' was played. Due to the nature of the song, NU'EST had similar parts being repeated during their turn; on the other hand, FIESTAR had a range of songs/parts played.

When hearing the song, Jung Hyungdon said furiously, "why NU'EST always play the same part of the song. Are there NU'EST sasaengs here", evoking laughter.

*Sasaeng, more commonly directly translated as Privates or Private fans, is a term used to describe obsessive fans that follows the artistes around even in their private lives and usually know everything about their favourite artiste.
