So, this is Onillion Magcargo for a friend who has been working on his own Pokemon region. According to the professor of the region, Professor Redwood:

This version of Magcargo is a pure water type

It's signature move, Geyser Blast, can heal all Pokemon and Pokemon with the Water Absorb ability heal up to full HP

It's only abilities are Water Absorb and Shell Armor

Its body is made up entirely of water, aside from the shell on its back, of course

What if Egypt Was A Pokemon Region? - New Pokemon Ideas

“This is the entire 'New Pokemon Section' from my upcoming 'What if Egypt Was A Pokemon Region?" video! The video will be focusing on how the real life country of Egypt could be translated into the Pokemon World, and because I'm still working on it (It's over an hour and a half and is taking longer than I expected!) Sound was Oliver's greatest indication that anything was alive. Trees rustled with the wind, people's feet hit the ground with thuds, even when a simple breath is sighed. It was all telling signs of life. However the treehouse, the home of the dead, his home, was silent. Acceptare Woods itself hardly made a peep as he walked along it's paths. His heeled boots never clicked against the floor, his hands hardly rustled the paper of books, even the chain attached to his guiding lantern never rattled. He was alive. He had to eat, had to sleep, had to drink water, all of the usual chores involved in keeping a body functioning. But, sometimes, he wondered if he was merely conjuring up the belief he needed these actions. The phantumps he aids have bodies they nourish, and they are souls hiding among stumps. It was another dark evening within the old oak woods. His feet ghosted along the floor as he hobbled around his house. His hands barely touched the dust on his bookshelves when the house rattled with loud, continuous banging from the door.

"SPOOKIE! HEY! HEY! SPOOOOKKIIEEEE! LET ME IN, IT'S FREEZING!" The booming voice nearly shook Oliver's bones. Astrapi has always been... eccentric. His mere existence seems to fill a room with overwhelming noise. Oliver shook his head. With a glance up to his, now awoken, Chandelure, he had made a gesture towards the door. With the same grace of the old soul she contained, she had descended and allowed the rockstar inside.

"Heeeeyyyy, Chandelure! You look beautiful, as always! Where's Spookie!? SPOOKIE! You haven't answered the phone in daaayyssss! Whatcha been doin'?" Astrapi's feet landed heavy, causing the floorboards to creek with every step he took. Oliver shook his head at the boundless energy of the other gym leader. He shrugged, returning to his search for the correct book. His companion had hovered around him, standing at first. Then Astrapi took to floating with those winged sandals of his. How did such small wings even hold that man's body in the air?... Oliver tried not to focus on his nosy companion, but those tiny wings made such a loud flap. Had he run here? His breathing was so... noticeable.

"Must you be so... noisy?" Oliver grumbled. His throat was sore and his voice hoarse. He hadnt spoke in days... He'd nearly forgotten he could. It wouldn’t be the first time that has happened, but it was still not exactly practical. Astrapi chuckled, his voice once again made the house vibrate.

"I'm just watching you. Does it bother you? Huh? Does it? Do you wanna stop working? Maayybe talk to me and see if I'll go away? Hm?" That's what he wished for. Attention. Does he not get enough of it from his fans? Why must he seek him out specifically? Oliver stared at him with a thousand-yard stare. The home of the dead... now contained something so alive. Something real. The gold jewelry he wore rattled against itself with each shift he made. His breathing wasn't ragged or loud, but it could be heard, a testament to his working lungs. Even the soft fabric of Astrapi's toga made a hushed wisp as they rustled with the rise and fall of his chest. Every sound grated Oliver's ears. It was almost sickening how alive this man was. How real he could be by simply existing. Astrapi had inched closer, clearly trying to provoke some sort of reaction or attention. Oliver wanted to shoo him off. To shake himself of the shackles this man gave him. If it weren't for him, he could've been closer to the dead than he is now. Curse him for keeping him toeing the line... Finally, Oliver nodded, almost exhausted. Not with Astrapi, mostly with his own lack of self-control.

"Very well, Dearest Companion. Let us take a seat. Shall we have tea?" Astrapi lit up at the green-light to stay. He didn't even answer his question, he merely grabbed Oliver and had dragged him to the couch. For the first time in weeks, Oliver heard that troublesome, annoying thump of his heart. So, he could still produce that precious sound... How annoyingly comforting.

Getting to Know the Eclore Region

A small island region known for its pokémon contests, its agriculture (especially its berry industry), and its beautiful natural landscapes. It has no unique pokémon of its own, but there's an array that’s sure to have something for everyone.

The Garland Region!

Garland is a region known for its export of many fresh fruits, veggies, flowers, and of course; garlands! It's also home to two mystical Pokemon, rumored to have once roamed around the world performing small miracles such as curing disease and purifying toxins. Here in this region, you will find:

Hermesville: Characterized by it's small yellow-brick buildings and open area, Hermesville is the perfect place to start one's pokemon journey in Garland! It's a peaceful place home to the study of Professor Olive Leif, the Yard family, the Woods family, and the Chrysanthemum family. It's a short walk to the next town, so this place is quite small. Echotree forest is a few steps away, but those who go too deep into the forest often complain of a smell resembling bleach or rotting meat. Nobody is sure why.

Poscidryn Bay: A bustling seaside city known for it's jolly gymleader Mona Mola. This place has everything people can ask for, a sandy shoreline, a swim school, and many water type Pokemon! The gym itself has quite a wild history, as it used to be a seaside three-ring circus that belonged to a friend of the former champion Dain Slayer.

Hearthside City: The hometown of it's firey gymleader, Hester Letterman. It's also known for producing complex works of embroidery. Hester has apprenticed the current dark-type specialist of the Elite Four, Luna Sombra. Not many people live there, but it's a nice place if you like the heat!

Copius Grove: The largest place in Garland. Most of it consists of farmland and fields owned by the Leif family and a few others. Any fresh produce comes from here too! The gymleader Dimitri Leif is the person people thank for that. Aside from that, it also has the largest hospital that houses people and Pokemon within it. The air quality here is the best in the region. It also shares a water filtration system with Poscidryn Bay!

Sythia City: Home to the strongest, most active, and most competitive trainers you will ever meet. A common pastime in Sythia is to have gym battles with their local fighting type gymleader, Eris Apple. She's actually the reason why there's so many sport shops and vending machines around!

Leados Town: A place known for it's natural hot springs and earthenware goods. Their gymleader is Heath Deed, and he's apprenticed two gymleaders and is the grandfather of Benedict Deed of the Elite Four. He's built quite a legacy for himself, as well as the tallest gym!

Steambrawl Cave: Home to many powerful Pokemon, it's a favorite place for people like Eris to train, but nobody goes in often because of the hazardous conditions. People often come out needing treatment for steam burns.

Neotoxin: A company that distributes fertilizer and performs Pokemon control services. These services include the capture and relocation of Pokemon, rescuing trainers from hazardous conditions, and conducting research on pokemon. It's run by a woman named Monterra Telos, and occasionally by her son when she needs to oversee other matters. It's also part of his training to take over one day.

Sintian City: Known for sky-high apartment complexes, storage areas, tech businesses, and rooms for rent, Sintian City is the most modern city in Garland. The steel-type gymleader, Hearty Smite, is also a sight to behold. He specializes in metalwork, but spends most of his personal time making things for the champion, Angel Komoma.

Dracion City: Hometown of the former champion Dain Slayer, who is now it's dragon-type gymleader. He used to be quite prideful as champion, but he's grown to be humble as he is strong. It's an old town, but news spreads quickly there. What? It says "Dacion City?" Hey, somebody fix that!

Mt. Athenos: The place known as Athenos City resides at the foot of this mountain, which rests in the center of the Garland Region. The interior of the mountain has been divided into two main spaces; the psychic-type gym belonging to Billard Ayano, and the caverns known as Victory Climb. If a trainer can battle their way up Victory Climb, they can reach the summit where the Elite Four and Champion Champion Angel Komoma reside.

So I’ve come to the conclusion that I will not be placing my DMA remake in an original region. It will, instead, be taking place in the Hoenn region (my favorite, even beyond Kalos).

But I’m not talking about my remake today. Today, I’m talking about how bloody difficult it is to make said original region. Now, this isn’t just to complain, but because there’s startlingly little out there about building original regions, and I kinda wanted to post my take on it.

So, right now I’m in the beginning stages. Basic information is being recorded in random MS Word docs and I’ll probably compile it into one place later. So far, I have nineteen towns and cities written down and named. And since every Pokemon region has a theme, and the name was already “Forrester,” I decided I wanted my theme to be plant related. So I named all of them after flowers.

So why did I choose flowers? Well, in high school I kind of stumbled on the fact that gems, flowers, precious and semi-precious metals, and so on all have meaning. And since Pokemon games tend to have a theme, I wanted to have one as well, one that has meaning. And I wanted to use those meanings to help shape the region itself, which kind of makes this easier for me.
