WAH OMG..... HAPPY WINTER 😭😭😭

Firstly- the journey to Hisui was pretty rough, but... seeing her first ever sunrise at Prelude Beach made things a lot easier for Ornella to handle, and a lot more determined to secure a better future.

Secondly, I thought it would be a cute lil scenario for Noodle and Ornella to meet... especially because in my PMD headcanon only the strongest of Pokémon could get the energy to evolve in the dark future, so she's in absolute awe of Noodle (especially because she's never seen a Typlosion like that before!)

Orella and her two adopted siblings, Corazón and Azucena. They are the main characters (Orella being the protagonist) of my novel, which doesnt have a title yet :)

Orella: she/her, 21 (starts the story as 13). She's training to become a knight, and her dream is to be a great knight of legend, just like the man who saved her years ago. When she was a kid, her village was destroyed and she lost her entire family. Since then, shes very protective of Corazón and Azucena, the other two survivors of the incident, and sees them as her new family.

Orella was born with no affinity for magic, like most of the common folk. But, a lot of the people training to become knights do have magical talents, so to compensate, she has trained hard and become the physically strongest of her generation, and the most skilled swordwoman. She and Corazon are rivals, although she doesnt take their rivalry too seriously.

She has a very laidback, chill personality. Shes always joking and goofing around so people often underestimate her and think shes just brawn and no brains, but shes a very intuitive person. Orella doesnt mind people not taking her seriously, she knows shes strong and is focused on her dreams. Shes very idealistic and believes in good old chivalry and honor, which get challenged during the course of the story.

Her struggle to keep her family safe and together is what drives the story.

Corazón: he/him, 20 (starts as 12). He's also a knight in training and shares Orellas dream. Unlike her, he was born with the affinity for soul magic (one of the two magic systems in the setting). Specifically, hes a Soul Collector, someone whos able to steal others souls and use them to manifest attributes from their previous holders (the strenght of a warrior, the claws of a tiger, etc). Hes very talented at it, and it was this magic that saved him from the destruction of their village. During the destruction, he found Azucena (a street kid) and tried to protect her, until they were found by Orella and she saved them both.

Corazon has a cold personality and is very closed off. He doesnt see Orella and Azucena as his family, at least not at this point in the story, as he values his lost blood family more than them. He clings to his lost ones tightly. To him, Orella is his rival first and foremost. He often follows his emotions and doesnt think before acting.

Azucena: she/her, 18 (starts as 10). Shes the youngest of the trio. She was abandoned on the streets when their village was destroyed, until Corazón found her. She was also training to become a knight, but she was only doing it so she wouldnt be separated from them, and had very little aptitude for fighting, being the worst of her class and always ditching the training to hide and read. Her only wish is to remain with her siblings, but fears she worries them too much and that shes dead weight to them.

Firstly, a gal! (Or at least, Gal Adjacent, gender gets weird when you're the only human around and most of your culture has been lost to you.)

And now AU details-

When Orella and Grovyle get separated while they're in the Passage of Time, they don't just land in different locations- they land in different time periods entirely. Grovyle where he normally ends up in the game, and Orella... well, she ends up much farther back in the timeline. To where Humans still co-exist with Pokémon, but on... hostile terms. Hisui Time, Baybey!

The main idea/timeline of this AU is that the PMD 'verse happens because of a bad ending to PLA- either Volo Wins, or Beserk!Dialga/Palkia never gets stopped and kind of wipes the planet so nothing but Pokémon exist anymore. So, Orella has a chance to stop the dark future from ever happening before the Time Gears or Temporal Tower ever get involved! Great news! The only problem is she STILL gets turned into a Pokémon. And her memory is pretty spotty, not full amnesiac like usual PMD but she does struggle with keeping a sense of identity/purpose as time goes on.

Enter the PLA!Protag and the Arcphone! When the Protag washes up on the shore of Prelude Beach, Orella ends up sensing/finding them and becomes their starter Pokémon. The Arcphone ends up being able to translate what Orella says (or at least basic intentions), so now Orella and the Protag need to work together to protect both their futures!

And uhh yeah that's most of what I got right now for plot, haha. Orella would dislike Adaman On Sight (the presence of Dialga is strong on that man), and the first time she encounters a Dusknoir in the wild she absolutely flips and attacks it without hesitation when she probably is not ready for a Pokémon that strong yet. I hope you like all this, you've been a very big inspiration for it all ^u^

oh nice premise!! it also fits some of the mysteries of the PMD world too -- for example, the abandoned Power Plant friend area (which looks suspiciously human-made)!!

I also like that arceus at least lets the protag communicate to her with the phone!! (also lol sorry adaman, you’ve got a potential typhlosion that doesn’t like you sdkjfhsdkjhf)
