#viewpoint protagonist

While I love Vi's team, the fact that he has a full team doesn't really fit with story I created for him anymore 😔 Now his Pokémon are only Moss the Crobat and Queen the Milotic.

Vi can create portals but because she's kinda bad at using this power she can't really create large ones. The portals are only big enough to put her arm through them.

She also doesn't really hide her ability so there are some pictures of her and the portals around the internet. 

Lusamine somehow finds those pictures, sees a teen with portal powers and is like "I can use them". So she sends someone to seek Vi out so that she can speak to them. When this person finds Vi Lusamine talks about this special program Aether Foundation is doing where they find people with special abilities to help them learn control and stuff. The fact that they can travel through Alola is just a nice little bonus. And while Vi is kinda suspicious she does want to learn to control her portal powers better, so she accepts. 

When she arrives Lusamine does what she can do best - manipulate children. She wants to see if Vi's portals can be used to access ultra beasts.

SORRY FOR THE DELAY -- here, I can even it out a bit! I originally had this doodle in my drafts because the sweater was so cute and I have no idea where I was going with it or why Cream is there (so I just slapped on some lines today)

With Cream it would probably be easy. Like, who doesn't love Cream? They are just that lovable. The beloved.

I am really curious how Spare would react to Vi. They are a hero, but they don't really do hero stuff and they were created by Giratina who has a conflict with Arceus.

They are horrified by Gene's cooking. How can someone be so bad, they have no idea. He isn't the best but he can do something that tastes good from things he found in the wild and/or 'borrowed' using portals.

They also really admire everything Gene does as a hero. They don't have the experience of saving the world(yet), but they can imagine how much work and stress it is. Vi isn't the best with words, so they would instead try to cook something special as a thank you. It isn't a lot, but he doesn't know what else he can do.

so the thing about arceus and giratina is that, in the modern era, they’re totally fine with one another!! their fight was relegated to their past, so while I can’t speak for @kriss-watches-stuff, I doubt that Spare would care so much about Vi being Giratina’s hero -- she’s much too busy disliking the fact that Vi’s a human KFJKHDS

OH...... gene would be so touched by that, he’s    pretty sure he keeps messing things up as a hero so that would mean so much to him -- especially the food since making food or eating together with friends is one of the things he loves most 😭😭😭

YES more teambuilding lore!! the alola teammates sound so cool, and I love the idea of an older magnemite 🥺🥺🥺

I feel like older steel-types have more wear and tear, but I wonder if more scuffs are a symbol of the number of battles that steel-types have been in? or if a more polished exterior indicates that there’s a strong community of magnemite that don’t get attacked individually?

so the full  team is, shiny zubat, feebas, snorunt, larvesat, magnemite, and ribombee!

Unfortunately, pokemon universe isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Even if most humans accepted pokemona as partners, some still use them like tools to win contests or battles. This happened to a poor little Snorunt. Her old trainer wanted her to evolve into a Glalie even if it meant hurting his pokemon. That trainer wasn't good at battling and her nasty character drove away any wild pokemon. This is why Vi had no trouble with dragging the trainer to a police station. After some legal technicalities they were ready to leave, but the little Snorunt wanted to go with them. After some more legal paperwork, Caroline the Snorunt(timid nature) was officially part of the team. She becomes an absolute beast after she evolves into Froslass.

Now about Cream

Cream: New half sibling!

Vi: what? *Sees emoji unown* ohh, you finally showed up to pay child support?

Vi would definitely be super happy at becoming Cream's half sibling. They have a bit of trouble connecting with people, knowledge that they aren't really human and that they never will be scaring them, so to have someone else with similar origins might help them fight this fear. He also jokes about unowns needing to start paying child support.

Vi: poor ma Giratina, rasing a hero all alone without help of those who also made me 😔😔😔😔

like I headcanon that the pokemon world doesn’t have such extensive issues with wage gaps as real life, but considering that the last 3 gens (maybe even gen 4) had CEO types as the villain, there’s definitely something going on there that needs to be stopped 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤

They mostly go by Vi to avoid people asking about origins of nickname Viewpoint. He grew tired of having to explain that yes, Viewpoint is his real name and no, his parents aren't weirdos with strange name ideas.

He starts his journey in Sinnoh. As I already said he definitely catches a shiny zubat and names her Moss (she has naive nature). She is his precious baby and he loves her with all his hearth. They even get a custom jacket or hoodie (I'll decide later which one) inspired by shiny zubats. He decides to try out contests only because Moss wanted to. Unfortunately, one contestant started saying mean things about zubats. Unfortunately for them of course, because Vi doesn't allow anyone making his baby cry. Let's say that the contestant had a not so nice contact with his fist. After that Vi decided that he doesn't like Sinnoh so he opened a portal and went to try contests in Hoenn.

I think he should get a Feebas. While at first it was only because of the fact that he definitely would befriend any 'ugly' pokemon that no one likes, now I kinda can see a bit of symbolism in this pokemon. Feebases need to go through many hardships to evolve and grow into a beautiful Milotic. Vi also will need to go through many hardships to grow as a person and start to stand up to baddies even if it doesn't involve him directly, because it is a good thing to do. Idk if this makes sense to anyone except me. Anyways, the Feebas is named Queen and he is definitely a little devil and will bite mean people (impish or sassy nature, can't decide). Vi caries Queen around in a fish tank backpack thingy.

Also I propose that we name the universe in which legendaries look at Gene and are like 'Give me more of those hand made heros' the Geneverse. Because he started it all and also he deserves to have a universe named after him.

MOSS THE ZUBAT MY BELOVED...... THEY EVEN USE HER IN THEIR OUTFIT OMG....... (good for them though, sinnoh contests are way harder than hoenn ones so they’ll probably be less judgy in hoenn sdjkfhsjkdhf)

so like a pokemon version of a cat backpack, but for water-types!! that’s great, I bet the Pokemon world has a bunch of those that might even use Pokeball or Warp technology to let Water types swim between a backpack and an aquarium!
