What he’d expected going into the Commission was information about who had caused the apocalypse. What he hadn’t expected was discovering it was Vanya. It was a pretty big revelation and a good one. The Commission would do anything to protect Vanya and that meant he was on their side. All he needed to do was stop her from doing whatever she did to end the world. He just needed to get out of here.

        ❛    that  sounds  beautiful,  vanya.   you’re  getting  better  and  better  each  time  you  pick  that  up.    ❜   her  smile  is  as  sincere  as  her  tone  and  the  look  in  her  eyes,  complete  admiration  (  and  well  masked  pity  )  for  the  little  girl.    ❛    however,  i  do  hope  that  isn’t  getting  in  the  way  of  the  rest  of  your  studies  too  much.    ❜

BEST to focus on what’s real. the fresh dressing on his arm. the warm cup in his hands. the fact that his sister can actually make a cup of coffee to save her life. keeps him in the moment, & not where five has been. for now safe, with her. & since she’s his sister & the only one he can be with straight with he just says it-  “ it’s better i was alone .” that i did not take you down with me. 

                    His  breath  comes  out  in  soft , SMALL  clouds  in  the  cold  air .  Vanya  is  so  small , so  FRAGILE  that  he  fears to  touch  her , lest  she  shatter  in  his  arms . It  wouldn ’ t  be  the  FIRST  time  he  hurt  her .
