Name: Orbit Ball

This is Orbit Ball. You may be inclined to say it is not a ball, as it is more egg-shaped than ball-shaped. However, I ask you, what egg is made of flesh? I don’t think any egg is. The flesh is all inside! Waiting to escape.

A ball, meanwhile, can be a roundish lump of anything, probably. I am not completely sure, and will not look it up, because I will let at least this one fantastical mystery continue in my life. Nobody has a problem with referring to lumpy clumps of snow as “snowballs”. Why should flesh be any different?

Orbit Ball appears in the boss microgame Galaxy Bounce, where you must bounce him into space! The games description is “Draw lines to bounce Orbit Ball into space! The sooner you get him outta here, the better!” Geez! What did Orbit Ball ever do to you?!

With an audible beep, the doors of the ballroom unlock. The music fades away, and Caligula appears on all the screens. 

Whaaat, was he serious? This was a new low for Chockula and not in the cool limbo way where it would actually be a compliment.

A trillion billion dillion frillion ounce of yen if you killed someone? Please. Only a total two star would go for that. And she was a five star, if not higher!

Shinobu heaves a huge sigh, eating up a beef steak and a parfait with little space for pausing or breathing and seemingly with no reaction to the two foods well... not really matching. But she'd eaten enough and standing around (albeit by the buffet table) was beginning to make her a little antsy somehow so she patted down her dress, stretched a little and began trot elsewhere. She still had an apple in her hand though. Her eyes wandered as if gauging if the motive bothered others as little as it seemingly bothered her but she'd never been much of a judge of character so she didn't come away with very much.

Ah, bored, bored, bored... see, this is why parties weren't her scene! There was nothing happening! So dull! No opportunities to play either, she didn't have a ball or anything. She tosses up her apple up and down when she notices somebody nearby. The apple almost drops but she catches it just in time. Something about an athlete's reflexes.

The ball music suddenly comes to a stop as Caligula takes pride of place on every screen in the ballroom, as a large podium rises out of the ground, a mechanical hatch previously invisible opening to allow it through smoothly. Behind it is a large screen, and on the podium, displayed proudly under a spotlight, is a neat pile of solid gold bars. 

"So, children, how are you enjoying the dance? Ahahahahahaha, that was a joke! I COULDN'T GIVE LESS OF A SHIT! But here I am to spice things up, the kind and wonderful host that I am. From this point on, anyone who commits a little tiny harmless act of BRUTAL MURDER will receive an extra prize apart from their freedom! FIVE! BILLION! YEN!" 

"Transferred straight to their bank account! Also, this shitty metal over here. What do you humans even see in gold? It's WORTHLESS AND VAPID! Just like humans, I suppose. Have a nice dance. Or not. WHO CARES?"

A ballgown huh... god, this made her feel six again or something, during one of her early birthdays or something. It's not like she loathed dresses or anything more that she just didn't like them. They were limiting and kind of bothersome, it wasn't easy to move in them nor stash stuff away - not without pockets. At the very least is was in her style, that was something... and what style was that...?

Punk of course!

Everything was just better with a belt or a tear. It was stylistic, cool and edgy!

But enough about dumb dresses and even dumber ball ideas (and even even dumber robots suggesting such) she had a partner to find! After all, she wanted to play it rebellious but after shoe guy's execution and ink boy's folly she wasn't stupid enough to push her luck and disobey him now.

"Oiiiiiiiiiiiiii Shirocchin, are you around?" she called out near his door. She didn't remember the guy, sure, but that didn't mean she couldn't already give him a nickname. And uh... who was his roomie again? She remembered investigating all these doors before but they'd all been switched up. Ugh, what a pain, Caviar sure liked making this difficult for 'em.

She strides off after having not much luck and then glances around some more, this time with a tut.
