Nagyvárad, 2026 február.
What I’ve Been Up To in the Last Decade
The short version is this: I kept writing.
A lot of it. Articles, posts, drafts that never saw daylight, notes scribbled between deadlines. Writing became less about chasing attention and more about thinking in public. If you want to understand something, try explaining it clearly. The gaps show up fast.
Along the way, I picked up skills out of necessity. Search engine optimization, because no one reads work they never find. Graphic design, because presentation quietly shapes trust. Social media, because ignoring distribution turned out to be a luxury. None of it felt glamorous. It felt like maintenance. Learning just enough to keep things running.
What I did not expect was how strange the world would become. Not just faster or noisier, but structurally odd. Incentives drifting away from outcomes. Systems rewarding confidence over accuracy. Tools promising connection while hollowing it out. There were moments when the gap between what was said and what was real became hard to ignore. Flabbergasted is the polite word.
The past decade also came with a steady drumbeat of crises. Some global, some personal, most overlapping. Each one arrived with the same lesson: plans are fragile, adaptability is not. You survive by staying useful, staying curious, and not mistaking momentum for stability.
I am still here because I learned to adjust without reinventing myself every six months. I kept the core simple: write honestly, learn continuously, distrust easy narratives.
If there is a theme running through all of it, it is this: the world did not turn out how anyone expected, but it did reveal who was paying attention.
I'm currently still working on various web projects, including thetrenddaily.com and navigating the new reality.
And my beard is greyer.
