Once upon a time, there lived a happy young girl who loved her father and brother with all her heart. She believed that they would always be there to help and protect her and that she’d be able to live fairly carefree…she couldn’t have been more wrong. When her father died and her brother disappeared she found herself isolated from the pride, her mother protected her the best she could but she couldn’t avoid the reality of who she was completely. A fairly large portion of her pride believed that she should be the one to inherit the role of Lion King but when Scar challenged her to a duel for the position when she was five years old, she conceded to him. She didn’t wish to name a champion, though her mother would have fought bravely for her because she didn’t want to see anyone get hurt in her name.

Years later when Nala left to go find her brother, she left as well feeling the call of adventure. She ran away from the pride and enrolled at Ilvermorny in secret. When she sees her brother again, she hopes she’ll recognize him,  and that he’ll recognize her. She doesn’t know that she wants him to return to the pride like Nala does; she just wants to see that he’s okay and, maybe if he is, they can put back together what’s left of her family.

Auror Investigation Specialization

If there was one thing that Nala was good at from the very beginning, it was hunting. She could throw down with the best of them certainly but she was a born tracker, always able to find Simba when he was heading off into trouble and able to track down trouble of her own. She relied on her sense of smell and her senses mostly but also her mind. She liked to imagine she would one day become a bounty hunter for the pride or something to that effect. Everything changed when Scar took over and started dictating what their lives would become. The pride fell into ruin and she knew the only way to save it would be to use her skills and track down Simba to bring him home and claim his rightful place.

Finding him turned out to be even easier than expected but he didn’t leave with her. Frustrated, she enrolled at Ilvermorny to try and convince him to go with her. She chose the investigation specialization, naturally, assuming she’d be able to complete it with ease. When it comes to field tests, she does well but she struggles with theory, especially criminology and criminal psychology.  The challenge of it all stoked a flame in her that she thought had long since died out. Under Scar she felt ignored but now, she feels challenged and is beginning to see why Simba might not be eager to leave.

Auror Frontline Specialization

Kovu was always on the very edges of everything, his family, the pride, the line between good and evil. He was never able to fully commit to his mother’s cause or fully able to buy into Scar’s idea of being Scar’s heir. He assumed that if he could do something well he would figure it out and yet even with what he was good at, he was always on the edge between brilliance and brightness. Still, he kept in line with what his family wanted because he had no real reason not to beyond unsettling uncertainty. He figured that if he could fight against the uncertainty, he shouldn’t give into it.

When Scar went to America he went as well, along with his brother and sister and found himself really enjoying school. It was a funny thing to him that for the first time he really felt like he was a part of something and not just on the edge. He laughed more, got angry more, felt things fully and more completely and began to really question if maybe there was something to his uncertainty. He’s been thinking about betraying the pride leader and staying at Ilvermorny and in America; but the price is steep. He would be banished if they couldn’t manage to kill him first.

Vegan Store Owner

Pumba was never considered to be very bright, he was always a little chubby and a little slow. He was never a brilliant flyer, so he couldn’t even use his size to be a decent beater. None of that really mattered to him though, because if there was one thing that the guy wasn’t lacking in, it was heart, and he had faith in that. He got very good at herbology and some kids started to take advantage of that. They had him help them grow certain illegal plants and, eventually, he was caught. He met with a social worker by the name of Timon Merecat who helped him in the process of using his skills to open a vegan store in Greylock’s landing. Pumba was always a proud vegan and wanted to help others experience the life style as well. Within a few months, the store was a huge hit and a few months later, he found himself living with his social worker.

When Timon brought Simba home he knew right away that he was totally and completely invested in the kid’s happiness. He started the process to become an animagus with great enthusiasm, he was even excited to discover that his form was that of a boar. What hasn’t been so exciting is that someone has been vandalizing his store for the past few weeks. He thinks that it’s the people who had him growing the plants but he doesn’t want to say until he knows more…

Timon has always subscribed to the motto of “Hakuna Matata”, it means no worries. He grew up in a large, busy family with a mother and father who loved him, even if they had a hard time remembering to pay attention. It wasn’t their fault, there was just so many siblings and aunts and uncles and the grandparents. He didn’t resent them for it much; instead he grew up fiercely independent and with a knack for noticing what others didn’t. Tim attended Ilvermorny, he graduated and got a job with the ministry as a social worker where he developed a reputation for being one of the best. It was through this job that he came across Simba, a boy from Africa that no one wanted to foster because he was a werelion. Timon did the only thing he could do, took the boy in and together with his room mate, Pumba Bore; they formed a weird kind of family.

In order to best take care of the boy, he went through the long, arduous process to become an animagus. He hoped that he would be something practical, like a bird, instead he was a merecat, which he found annoying. Of course a Merecat would be a merecat. He’s getting older, and he wants to retire; but with the stress and pressure that Simba is under, he wonders if he even can.

Politics Specialization

Simba was born a Werelion in prominent werelion pride in Tanzania where his kind were always regarded with respect and trust. His father was a brilliant leader, called the Lion king by many and his son was set to inherit leadership of the pride. He had a close, loving relationship with his father, he was a reckless child who often got himself and his friend Nala in danger but his father always saved him. He was eager for the day he would become the Lion King himself but never truly believed that his father would get sick enough to step down or die. One day when he was eight, his uncle car brought him down to the gorge and told him to wait, that he had a very special surprise for him.

As soon as Scar left, there was a stampede of trolls, Simba desperately cried for help, crawling up into a flimsy tree to avoid being trampled. He thought he was going to die but his father jumped in to save him, carrying him on his back to safety…but he couldn’t save himself. He wasn’t exactly sure how or why it happened but when he reached the top of the cliff, he saw his father fall to his death. Later, his uncle scar came to him and told him he had to run away and that the pride would blame him for his father’s death. Scar gave him a plane ticket and papers to America, Simba took them and never looked back.

He eventually made his way to Greylock’s landing and was taken in by two animaguses named Timon and Pumba. He attended Ilvermorny and was happy, learning to let go of the troubles of the past. For a long time he thought he could let it all go but unfortunately it’s all caught up with him. He’s been told that the pride is in bad shape and that scar has ruined them. He is now facing a tough decision, does he return and face the sins of his past or hide and allow a tyrant to destroy the family that his father held so dear…
