***Rekisha was turntisha for Pride-isha.*** 🤪💃🏾🤳🏽🏳️🌈🌪💕🌃🍻 He licked his lips, said to me, “boy you look good enough to eat.” Put his arms around me. I said, “boy, now get your paws right off of me.” 😒 Not to be a cynic concerning such a Goliath of a #celebration of my #community, but we must always remember to practice #safety, even in the safest of spaces. What’s more, and such a shame, is that we must also be alert and aware of our surroundings, whether we’re with a group of #friends, but ESPECIALLY if we’re alone. I can’t tell you how many men grabbed at me (or made attempts) from every direction throughout the night and at all the different clubs. A bitch was just out here #living her best #life, and there were/are men who believed that simply because I’m in a crop top (regardless of what it says, which is pretty fucken hilarious if you ask me, this is NOT an #openinvitation so get a sense of humor and #keepyourhandstoyourself) and wearing the shortest #shorts the public can legally afford me—simply put “showing so much skin,” somehow that’s a license to access my body. It’s another because I absolutely LOVE to #dance. Drop a beat and let a girl feel somethin’, honestly. And I can go alllllll night. BUT just because I love to dance and it makes me feel so powerful and sexy, again, doesn’t mean I want you all over me or even wanna talk to you. All I’m saying is #happypride. Do better by those you love and those you don’t know. #respect each other because he extrinsic world don’t respect us. Have fun, be safe, be you, because no one can stop you when you get it down. Not even countless men at bars and clubs who wanna treat you like some consumable treat. -Reki* (at Trunks)
