I am a firm believer of the whole "Zoro's biggest fear is failure but especially failure at protecting his fellow and if someone gets seriously hurt, his first instinct is to blame himself for not being there (ex., Ace's death and Luffy getting traumatized because of it) 'cause next to Luffy, he is the most responsible for the crewmates well-being (and because he thinks his love language is just fighting, yeah).
I heard someone else call this "The Anxiety of Strength" which is a name that goes hard and does a good job explaining this concept but also.... When I write it out like that, it sounds like he basically just has a specific adaptation of Eldest Daughter Syndrome, doesn't he?...
honestly guys, oda really knew what he was doing with that sbs because sanji being the larkspur just makes so much sense to me. i’ve been thinking about the flower meanings and it’s actually perfect for him.
this fits him so perfectly because larkspur is all about having an open heart and being genuinely sincere, and that’s literally sanji’s whole thing. even when he tries to act cool or distant, he can’t help but care deeply about everyone around him, like he always leads with his emotions no matter what. it also represents strong attachment and devotion, which is so him because he’s insanely loyal to his crew, his principles, and his cooking.
he shows love through what he does, whether that’s making the perfect meal or putting himself in danger to protect others, and that kind of dedication just matches the meaning of the flower so well. plus, larkspur stands for lightness and grace, and that’s exactly how sanji carries himself. even with everything he’s been through, he still moves with so much elegance, especially in fights where it literally looks like he’s dancing, and he always keeps that sense of chivalry no matter how chaotic things get.
it’s also just visually perfect for him because larkspurs are tall, sleek, and elegant, which matches his whole silhouette in a suit so well. like, even at a glance it just feels right for his vibe. i also love that oda picked a flower that’s all about sincerity and positivity for him because it really says a lot about who he is at his core. no matter how much he leans into the whole “black leg” reputation or tries to act tough, it just reinforces that deep down he’s genuinely such a kind and soft-hearted person.
our cook really is the best. i love him so much 😭

Whoa! Seems like we're reaching a mini-milestone here 👀...
(So close to 250 followers on Instagram and 150 on this ask blog 🌟! Needless to say, OP did not expect to reach this many followers in a pretty short amount of time and is so grateful for every single one of you!
And, tell you what...once we hit the milestone, OP has a little surprise for everyone 👀 Look out for that...)
Hey guys, just a small update so you know where i’m at.
Things are pretty hectic right now in my personal life so answering asks has slowed down temporarily. It’s not particularly fun to go through examples of discrimination against you all every day so I prefer to keep it spaced out.
"Like a Tree."
Ooouggh, I had to blast my way through this page for a school assignment, ya'll. But I'm happy how this turned out so I'm posting it here.
