I am a firm believer of the whole "Zoro's biggest fear is failure but especially failure at protecting his fellow and if someone gets seriously hurt, his first instinct is to blame himself for not being there (ex., Ace's death and Luffy getting traumatized because of it) 'cause next to Luffy, he is the most responsible for the crewmates well-being (and because he thinks his love language is just fighting, yeah).
I heard someone else call this "The Anxiety of Strength" which is a name that goes hard and does a good job explaining this concept but also.... When I write it out like that, it sounds like he basically just has a specific adaptation of Eldest Daughter Syndrome, doesn't he?...
I need to get this off my chest because Zoro glazers are genuinely the worst part of the One Piece fandom. I love Zoro heās one of the best characters in the series but his fanbase? Absolutely unbearable. They rewrite him into some alpha male caricature and then act like thatās canon. Itās exhausting.
Let me say this clearly:
No, he is not better than Sanji.
They are equals. Oda has been telling you this for 25 years. Wano feats donāt magically erase everything Sanji has done. And no, Zoro does not āsolo Big Mom.ā I canāt believe that even needs to be said.
No, heās not āonly loyal to Luffy.ā
He loves the entire crew. He trusts them with his life. He literally ate dirty rice off the ground to make a little girl happy. Thatās who he is. Heās not some cold, edgy lone wolf heās a shy, awkward softie who shows love through actions, not words. Just because he shows his love differently doesnāt mean itās any less.
No, heās not āthe most loyal.ā
Every Straw Hat is loyal. Thatās the whole point of the crew. The ānothing happenedā moment was iconic, yes, but it doesnāt put him above anyone else. It was a crew moment, not a āZoro is the only real oneā moment.
No, Luffy doesnāt love Zoro the most.
Luffy doesnāt rank his friends. His love isnāt tiered. He values all of them equally, and he doesnāt play favorites. Stop projecting.
No, Zoro is not a mean person.
His introduction was literally him protecting a child. Heās blunt, not cruel. His own fans reduce him to āstrengthā and ābadass momentsā when thatās not even why Luffy chose him. Luffy chose him because heās kind, dependable, and has a good heart.
No, his writing isnāt bad.
Simple writing doesnāt mean bad writing. Could it be stronger considering how important he is? Sure. But he does have character development. He went from being cocky in every fight to actually respecting his opponents and choosing battles he knows he can win. Itās subtle, but itās there heās a reserved character, not a loud one.
No, he would not have killed Sanji in Whole Cake Island.
Heās not stupid. He wouldāve understood Sanjiās situation immediately. Zoro isnāt some mindless attack dog; heās thoughtful and protective of his crew.
And yes Zoroās biggest fear is losing his friends. They mean everything to him. Thatās why itās so frustrating watching his own fanbase twist him into this emotionless āalphaā who only cares about Luffy and swordsmanship. You donāt love Zoro. You love the version you made up.
Zoro is a great character. Heās layered, loyal, caring, and quietly emotional. Itās sad seeing him reduced to āstrengthā and āLuffyās guard dog,ā especially when that reduction always comes at the expense of other Straw Hats. Zoro would hate the way his fans talk about the crew. He trusts them with his life you think heād let you disrespect them like that? Be serious.
I love Zoro. I really do.
But his fanbase? I cannot stand them.
Thinking about WCI againā¦
Sanji smiling and going with Bege to his wedding ( assasination ) -> Bellemere smiling saying that Nami and Nojiko are her kids before getting murdered
Sanji having to go with his biological abusive noble family to protect the crew because they cant fight Big mom when theyre already planning to take down Kaido -> Sabo having to with his biological abusive noble family to protect Ace and Luffy because three of them are not capable of fighting Bluejam pirates.
Nami and Luffy feeling like helpless kids watching their loved ones getting taken away from them again āŗļøāŗļøāŗļø
I wonder if it's actually hard for Chopper to do medical care on himself, because all the research in the world is on either humans or reindeer (mostly humans) and not some devil fruit amalgamation. Like I assume Kureha would have studied him as much as was ethically reasonable because she was responsible for taking care of him, but that's still just one lady plus Chopper himself compared to the wealth of worldwide peer-reviewed information available for humans. Even zoan type devil fruits are usually seen in humans that gain animal traits, not the other way around. His fruit is incredibly unique, and there are all sorts of weird details he would have to simply discover by experience. There's no anatomy diagram from a dissection he can look at, no list of how standard symptoms appear, no way to even 100% know what parts of his body are operating as a reindeer and which as a human, because he is literally the only one of his kind.
Like for example he seems to take damage differently in different forms. How does that translate when he switches back? If he gets a wound 12 inches wide in monster point, does it stay that size when he goes back to brain point? Does it shrink with the skin? What about if an organ is pierced? His internal workings literally get rearranged in seconds and this doesn't necessarily heal him. How do you treat wounds that have been shifted around on a cellular level?
We can mostly assume he has a human brain I think, but does it need to rewire his entire nervous system every time his limbs change shape and his organs get moved?? Or do his nerves just get stretched and moved around as well, reassigning themselves to the new areas? Do they sometimes still remember how sensations felt in his last form and then it's jarring when they're touched in a different one? His muscle and sense memory must be super weird. And like does he maybe have human brain parts and reindeer brain parts, each engineered to respond to the specific stimuli and demands of each form, all combined into one unique conglomerate brain?
idk man it must be weird and i think about it!!

Luffy pulling out the RED HAWK specifically because Tama got hurt and this next punch is from Ace personally
Zoro is an Eternal Log Pose to The One Piece. Change My Mind.
Ok, this gag theory has been out for a HOT minute, but after rewatching this series for the umpteenth time,
I am CONVINCED it's true and here's my proof:
1. The concept of living compasses already exist in one piece, one of which is The South Bird from Jaya.
Who gets paired up w this bird for nearly a third of an arc? The ever lost marimo, himself, Zoro.
Repeatedly and hilariously, he still continues to end up next to the Merry, rip, which is exactly why this isn't exactly looked at as anything other than a gag, just Oda showing how hopelessly directionless this man is. However, isn't it weird that he's not only THE ONLY one that gets paired up with this geographically honed-in bird, but with whom only says "JÅ«", which in japanese means "Free"? What is the One Piece if not a symbol of ultimate freedom? Hmmmmm, SOUNDS LIKE FORESHADOWING TO ME.
2. He gets lost in a specific way.
Yes, many ppl end up going in circles and ultimately ending up in the same spot over and over again, so isn't it safe to assume it's the same w Zoro? Well, there is another directionless member of The Strawhat Crew, Luffy.
This is, of course, what leads Nami to be the very next member to join, it being obvious they wouldn't get in spitting distance of anywhere without her. However, unlike Zoro, if you tell Luffy how to get there (with explicit instruction) he can make it on his own. Meanwhile, Zoro....
gets lost....
going towards just basic places...
right in front of him:
a ship...
a flight of stairs...
A door.
A FUCKING. DOOR.
Again, it could just be a normal gag, BUT WE DON'T DO NORMAL GAGS IN ONE PIECE.
3. He has the sword, Wadou Ichimonji.
Most have attributed his directionless to one of Zoro's swords, either his cursed blade, Sandai Kitestsu, or the treasured katana he inherited from Kuina because of its meaning,
"The Straight Path To Harmony"
I think this is pretty on the nose, as it's highly speculated that once the One Piece is found, the World will be united and at peace. Plus, the sword is known for its white hilt and saya or sheath, which we know is the color Luffy turns into with his sun god look, the man fated to find the One Piece. However, I don't think the blade is actually pulling Zoro in that direction, but that the sword is meant for Zoro and just fits him. We know swords choose their owner thanks to Sandai's history. Anyone can use a sword but it may not stay in their hands. A phenomenon that has occurred with Zoro's third katana constantly being replaced. I believe just how Sandai chose Zoro and doesn't curse him like their previous owners, Wadou chose Zoro.
Who better to hold the "Straight Path To Harmony" than a man who seems to always take the straightest, shortest, and most immediate path toward the fated piece that will bring harmony?
This is also the same reason that Zoro wouldn't be able to navigate them to One Piece just on his own and why they would still need Nami to navigate them.
He'd take the straightest route.
Through, fog, whirlpools, rocks, over islands, ships, walls, people, anything in the way, he'd cut (pun intended) straight through to get there which I don't think Sunny has the equipment for. Plus, there are plenty of places they gotta stop off at before they get there. However, there will most likely be a time that, together, Nami as the navigator and Zoro as the compass, they will be able to navigate to Raftel/Laugh Tale and ultimately the One Piece....
.....Also his hair is green. Just saying. š¤·š½
is Vivi The āSecond Comingā Of Rain God Zaza?
Some are saying that Zaza is NOT Goddess But Big Mom wants to be pirate KING. Title can be use for Both genders
Gunko/ Princess Shuri and Vivi have Blue Hair
In Rocks Era/Pre God Valley, Gunko/Shuri wears similar to Zaza.
In Alabasta Arc, it start raining AFTER Vivi stops war
Famous Theory is that Vivi ate Water Water Fruit cause Wednesday means Water Day in Japan.
Most Women in One Piece have some Connect with Water in some ways. Namiās Name means Wave. Shirahoshi is Mermaid and New Posideon
Imu keeps a poster of Vivi safe unlike Luffy, Blackbeard and Shirahoshi Posters
