Where: Regulus home

Andromeda knew she had promised Ted that she wouldn't look into Regulus' disappearance. It had been a discussion late one night after she'd heard the rumor, an agreement between the two of them that she'd stay out of it. She'd asked him to keep an ear out but had asked the same of him, she didn't want him involved. Especially when she knew her family would be looking for Regulus just as they were. The witch supposed she could add it to the list of things she'd begun to keep from her husband, another thing to feel guilty for.
She'd wanted to keep his promise, but her cousin was missing and she simply couldn't sit by and hope for news. The worry had only grown after others had come to inquire. With Rabastan and Evan having both come to ask her if she'd seen him, she'd no longer been able to sit idly by. That Voldemort's followers didn't know where he was, filled her with some hope. But surely if he was safe he would have reached out? She would have helped him in any way she could.
She was not surprised to find the wards already broken as she arrived at Regulus' home, no doubt many had come before her hoping for a clue. Still, Regulus was family. Andromeda held some small shreds of hope that she could find something that everyone else had missed. She entered the home cautiously, wand in hand, relieved when she was greeted with silence. She made her way up the stairs to his room, beginning to scan through drawers, looking for anything that could give her some hope.
She had been rifling through some papers when she heard the creak of footsteps up the stairs and she froze. Papers were set gently aside as the witch slowly and quietly moved towards the door, wand drawn. She waited with bated breath until the steps grew closer, stepping out of the room and bringing her wand up, prepared to attack whoever had arrived. She froze, surprise and guilt warring on her features as she came face to face with her husband.
