Anticipation was a boundary to rest for the youthful mind, however.  Haphazard is the frenzied shuffling as he hides under the sheets, feigning sleep and momentarily forgetting to breathe ( a cause of concern for anyone who were to check on him, he might think were he not so panicked ).

...  An eye opens ( a grave mistake on his part ), and relief pours into his body with a potency that makes him spring up.  ❝  Shouldn’t you be sleeping ?  ❞ he asks in a quiet rush, though his voice is laced with mirth at the welcome sight of his brother.  It was a giddiness and mischievousness only Kaeya could draw out of him.
