Yes ladies. Especially if you are strength training or lifting. Muscle weighs more than fat. I’m sure you have heard that a thousand times. That’s because it’s true. My gym allows me to measure my body fat % and BMI. I’m concerned about both but only keeping track of my BF% mostly because that’s the other one of the two my app as a spot for.
I joined the gym about a month ago. I hit it hard 4-6 days a week. I do a combination of classes as well as some strength training.
Starting weight: 240
Starting BF%: 40%
Current weight: 235.9
Current BF%: 39.2
It’s a fantastic start and some great gains for just a month of hard work. My BMI has also dropped significantly.
