OnS Theories (13S). Third Theory - Mikaela’s reflection (Deep analysis) Warning: This theory has spoilers.
I believe many will be sad or perhaps hopeful with the latest chapter but, of course, it’s discouraging to see Mika suffering; therefore, let’s talk about why exactly this happened, therefore, let’s begin!
The new chapter displayed a world on which the Hyakuya family was there reunited together; Mika’s aspect or appearance was the one of a 12 year old boy, he was helping the kids with normal tasks such as feeding them, taking a bath with them which in reality, it’s something he enjoyed to do but, of course it was a dream. Mika never had the opportunity to do that with Yu since the catastrophe happened the very moment Yu spent few moments in the orphanage.
Many will wonder why Mika’s apperance was that of a kid.
If many remember, there’s a theory on which I talked about Mika’s hand size and that is mainly due to the fact Mika lost his innocence at that time, he used to have faith on humanity but once he got out overseas, he lost that faith.
In the dream, his appearance reflects a lot on which his life ended, that point on which humanity vanished, but, why did Mika accept such thing and enjoyed the time with the Hyakuya family?
Mika’s dream was to have a normal life, to return to those peaceful moments where no worries existed except enjoy life itself with his family.
Many might wonder why that dream, this is due to the fact, said dream was created by the demon Mikaela, the chapter itself revolves around the perspective on how a demon is born in the inside, for this we will focus on the conversation between Yu and Mika; said conversation was translated by one of my friends.
In the conversation, Yu stated he wanted such pleasant moment to last forever; Mika eventually cries and states that everything’s a dream, of course Yu told him that was a lie, but Mika told him everyone was dead (Akane and the others).
Eventually, Yu told Mika that if he wanted everything to last forever, he could become a demon that would feed on human desires, which on the final panel of the spoiler, Mika’s face reflects acceptance and lastly seraph wings appear on his back.
Many will state that his aspect as a demon will be that but there’s one issue for this, what could it be?
Said issue is that all the events are reflections of what Mika wished and treasured the most; those are reflections of what he wanted the most, that being said, a peaceful life with happiness.
Therefore, his seraph apperance is another reflection, what do I mean?
Talking about a topic related towards real life, whenever kids are asked how they visualize themselves, much answer with: being a superhero, have wings, powers, or something related to a job.
The issue here is that the dream that was created by the demon Mika, is aware of what his human side desired; which means, the demon Mika is aware of his own body, therefore, what we can state is the subconscious side.
The subconscious side is well known to reflect the real self, which means, Mika’s subconscious reflected him as a seraph, but, will this be his real appearence in the real world?
The answer itself is unknown, but, at the same time, there’s a negative to this, why?
The demon that was born, will absorb all the power Mika had as a human, I mean, the power he had with the Michaela trait and Seraph trait.
Second, Mika is in a place that reflects what his heart and mind desired the most; it is well known that the mind and heart reflect the power a human would wish to have, along this, limits or boundaries within dreams do not exist, which give freedom to the mind and heart.
The moment Yu hugs Mika until he vanishes and Mika ends up sprouting wings, implies freedom for the demon.
His aspect in the outside world is unknown; many have stated in the hispanic fandom that Guren stated Mika would turn into a demon but Mika just displayed the opposite, but there’s one issue with this.
Guren is a demon, right now, despite Noya being K.O; Guren is able to detect the energy or more likely the presence of another demon, what do I mean?
If many might recall in chapter 83 once Guren absorbed his squad life force or energy, he left to track down the first progenitor, but, have you wondered how he was able to find him?
Easy, Guren’s senses were enhanced, he was aware where the energy the First Progenitor was releasing on purpose.
To conclude or more likely as a small review of Mika’s last panel before his wings appeared, his face reflected acceptance, he accepted becoming a demon, he accepted to feed on human desires with the sole purpose to protect his family, his wings reflect his will, the flight or the long journey he’ll have even if it means forgetting everything and destroying everything around him.
