Maybe a little personality and lifestyle along with some falls. But does it show the ritual? The routine you do to help gather your thoughts. There are typically many variables at play not highlighted. Maybe injury, a broken skate part, shitty ground, 6 hour skate day, 50 attempts later… the fact remains a lot goes into it and along that journey most of us have a way to help us through it. I have a few of my own “as seen is this clip” but one thing I stay cognizant of is not to stay fixed in one way of doing things. Remembering at all times our minds are looking for new pathways and are strengthened by even attempting something outside of the norm. So instead of saying the same things, taking the same road home, watching the same genre movies, going to the same venues, cooking the same dinner OR doing the same Skate Ritual. I’d say it’s time to Switch It Up. For your health and for fun. You only live once. I’ll leave you with this.. Ask yourself, “Where do I want to be in 5 years and is what I’m doing and how I’m acting today going to get me there?” Have fun with it and don’t forget “make yourself proud of your own self”! Don’t be afraid to go after your goals, fail and than switch it up.
