Before Luffy, Ace planned it already. To kill Kaido and free Wano. He recruited 2 people already, Izou and Marco-yoi!~ And it happened. They are now in Wano, fighting against Kaido.

This is Luffy when he casually told Tama that Ace is dead and not coming back.

This is Luffy when he really can't accept what happened to his brother Ace. :((( Super heartbreaking. He almost lost his self here. Good thing Jimbei talked to him and took care of him as Ace's wish.

I just want to include Momo's face because he was shocked that Ace is Roger's son and Luffy's brother.

my various One Piece theories of the week:

Sabo and Vivi show up in Wano (the voice Momo heard - one of them? bc either Sabo or Vivi could be Joyboy, or an ancient weapon in Vivi’s case)

Sabo couldn’t save Luffy, but Vivi could 

Vivi and Shirahoshi met in the correct timeline for all we’ve heard of the prophecy from Oden and Toki, and Im wanting Shirahoshi gone/controlled/etc bc she’s an ancient weapon...why add Vivi in?

Alabasta has the key to pluton’s location, what if Vivi is part of that? Or is Joyboy herself. No one has said Joyboy has to be male. My bet is more towards ancient weapon tho.

Vivi could also be the one that ends up ruling in the end once the gorosei and CD are gone

the Grand Fleet, or at least some of ‘em show up, save Luffy, and we’ve got our new fighters for part 4

Luffy’s been beat to hell, so the fleet’s cards have gotta be reflecting that, right?

the Hearts in their sub could also save Luffy, which is probably most likely, but where’s the fun in that?

Chopper may not go back to the cute, original form we know

if there’s a hint towards that thrown in our face, then this seems likely. if not this fight, then later. 

this’d also probably guarantee his bounty changing and him not being a “pet”
