2) a quick doodle I did years ago of a random weird photo I found that had a satisfying half-told-story feeling to it. No idea title of the photo I referenced for the doodle tho.

For a long time now, I have wanted a tattoo with the Rebel Star Bird from Star Wars, but it needed something else. To those of you that don’t know, Star Wars is very much an autistic special focus of mine, something that I have been nearly obsessed with since 1995. 

Science fiction generally has been a fascination of mine as well, and I have long been consuming as much of it as possible. Little less than a year ago, a dear friend pointed me to Ann Leckie’s novel “Ancillary Justice”, and once again my brain was alive with wonder and delight. So few things ever move me like The Imperial Radch Trilogy did (to the point that I have read all three books in the series seven times this year).

While the Star Bird is recognizable to many of you, the symbol superimposed and trailing underneath is the emination “Esk”, which is very closely related to the main character of the series. It stands for “beginning” (while it’s opposite, “Var” means “ending”).
