Bc obv One Esk loved Awn, but the constant attendance suggests to me that she was legit afraid for Awn's life. And not bc Anaander was on Toren like a virus in a healthy body gnawing and corrupting everything in sight.
It's just one of those things One Esk who becomes Breq just doesn't say, maybe can't say even to herself. That she Loved Awn, that she was afraid Awn blamed Esk unit and herself for the slaughter ordered by Anaander.
