Theory 6: The Universe is expanding because Consciousness is expanding. As every new thought, theory, belief, label, construct or definition is being created, so too is new bits of the Universe because it’s simply the same thing. For example: Because we believe there must be more to the Universe than what we can observe of it, the Universe expands on itself because it’s consciousness is expecting it to do just that. Much like how you can never get to the end point of the horizon or touch a rainbow. As you walk towards it, it appears to get further and further away from you. You can never reach the point where it’s right in front of you simply because it already is. You’re just putting “space” there because you believe it to be there. You see “time” will eventually be possible for us to take out of the picture of reality. But “space” never will be because in order for there to be a “space”, there must also be a solid. If there is no awareness of solidness to “space”, “space” just can’t exist because it’s already whole. So in a way “Space” is there, but then it isn’t either. What we define as “space” is really just a vast ocean of nothingness. It doesn’t have any observerable properties without a solid. I’m willing to bet that 1% that’s not empty space is us trying to observe it from a “solid” perspective. If it’s all empty space, it’s not “space” at all. The reason why is because much like water is not empty without ever being full, “space” cannot ever be “space” without ever being solid. It’s just nothingness.

Why think about it if it’s all nothing? What’s to be thinking about? Science can’t quite grasp this perspective of it because it believes it’s looking at it through a “solidness”. But there can never be a “space” without solid or a solid without “space”. It goes together. It’s one. It’s the same as saying that if nothing is nothing then it’s really just ‘the everything’ because that’s all it is. How can you possibly conceive of a nothing at all without looking at it as a something? You can’t. The only way to think about a nothing is to go to sleep and never wake up. Obviously you can’t do that because thoughts don’t happen when there is nothing until there is a something. Some type of experience or dream or whatever. You wake up as if you had just gone to sleep. In-between that was the nothing. That’s the only way you can possibly conceive of it. By viewing it from the state of a somethingness. So if existence is all just “99.99% empty space”, as science says it is. That 1% has to be the somethingness with which to conceive of that nothing with. Because you can’t do it otherwise.

Unless... (and this is the point I want to make here as I always do to explain just how simple it really is)... unless “empty space” is comprised of thought. Then “empty space” can be aware of itself. It can think itself into existence. Into conception. Into observation. See where I’m going with this? This whole Universe or “Multiverse” must be a thought one. Otherwise it could not possibly exist at all. It would just be “dead matter” after all to us. But then there’s us... and we think and we concieve and we observe so that can’t be right using this way of thinking about it. A thought Universe. A Universe that thinks itself into itself.

And here’s the kicker.. You think, therefore you are.

If you could stop thinking, you would be a nothing. “Silence the mind” Zen says... But really it does not mean to stop thinking, does it?... It means to put yourself in a state where you will have something to think about. Because in order to have something to think about at all, you must stop thinking. Out of the 99.99% of possibilities you could have to think about. The 1% possibility you cannot ever have to think about is a nothing. Yet when you go to sleep at night and you don’t dream whatsoever... you actually put yourself in that state of nothingness. But you can’t ever experience it until you have a somethingness again. I.e when you wake up.  So you have to really ponder over whether that’s the real definition of “death”. Unconsciousness.

So... back to the question originally asked. What is there beyond the observable or conceivable Universe? Answer: Nothing.

That’s exactly what there is right now... almost. There is still a something even when there also a nothing. You. This is profound realization when you really go into the thick of it like I just did.... and yet I’ve barely scratched the surface... because you could go even deeper than that. Science says there is two BIG questions to answer that haven’t been answered. “What is the Universe?” and “What is consciousness?” But now that we’ve gone through this whole analysis here, you know that there is only one question to be answered. Because there’s only one answer. There could only ever be one answer for it.
